Chapter 11: Don't Wanna Leave

2140 Words
I can’t move nor feel my legs. The sun was already at its peak, yet I was still lying in bed with Alvarez… A sigh escaped from my lips as I tried to reach for my phone that was on the bedside table. Since I couldn’t stand up, I tried to check how I looked on my phone’s camera. Oh, I still look pretty despite Alvarez going too rough on me since last night. Damn, I can still feel my legs trembling from all that! Although I remember him cleaning everything up when we finished, he sure didn’t let me rest all night and morning. “You’re so annoying…” I muttered as I looked at his sleeping face that was buried in my chest. His torso was on top of me now, like he didn’t want me to suddenly disappear from the bedroom when he woke up. Heh, that’s quite adorable. He wasn’t budging even with all my movements, so I figured he was actually tired. I guess even his stamina can reach its limit at some point! Either way, he looks quite adorable right now. “I should take a picture…” I whispered as I lifted my camera, just enough for the top of his head to be seen along with my face. This will go to my ** highlights just because I want them to know that we’re both having fun here. Sure, the fun started when we were about to leave, but it still counts. This way, I can spite the people who said that this was nothing more than a farce. It is indeed nothing more than a hoax to fool the public, but I’m a very petty person, so I’m not letting it slide. Alvarez’s face could be seen in the picture, and obviously, he’d be nowhere to be found outside this small villa. If anyone dared to say that this picture is fake, then they’re probably just deluded. I smiled as I put my phone down, hopeful of another chaos on social media. I’m not sure about this guy, but I find it pleasing to have people go on a rampage about Alvarez and me whenever information drops out of nowhere. Oh, wait. “Look at the time…” I muttered as I checked my phone once again. It’s past lunch already, and Alvarez isn’t awake yet. I can’t cook right now when my legs are still jelly… Oh, no. I’m very exhausted, and I don’t think I can get up anytime soon, especially if I’m going by myself. But I’m so hungry right now that I don’t think I’ll be able to last without eating anything! “Alvarez…” I tried to wake him up because I couldn’t take it anymore. “Hmm…” he muttered, still unmoving. I let out a sigh as I tapped the back of his head lightly. “I’m hungry. You have to wake up…” Alvarez let out another low groan, but refused to get up. I was already getting frustrated and ready to smack him away from my chest, but I didn’t want to waste the little energy that I had on something like that. “Gray!” I tried to say out loud just so he would get up. “Hey, too loud…” he muttered as he slowly lifted his head to look at me. “What’s wrong, hmm?” “I’m hungry.” He sighed as he slowly got up. “You can’t walk?” “More like I can’t even feel my legs,” I replied sarcastically. He let out a low chuckle as he stood up to go out. Thankfully, he was wearing boxers, so I didn’t have to see that unbelievably monstrous thing of his. He wore his slippers and prepared to go out, while I just covered myself with a blanket as I watched him. “I already cooked food earlier, but I thought you’d go down on your own,” he said before walking away. “After all that, you seriously thought I’d be able to even move?!” Does this man not know how he is in bed?! Is he not aware of the fact that he can render most women limp after spending a night with him?! Alvarez scratched the back of his nape as he opened the door. “Alright, I’m sorry. Let’s just eat here together.” I rolled my eyes and grabbed a pillow that I could hug while waiting for him to come back with my food. That guy thinks I’d be able to leave when he was literally on top of me! Ha, he can be quite dumb sometimes. Anyway… Things will slowly return to normal once we go back to the city. I mean, it’s far from normal when I’m living with that guy, but it’d probably feel normal when we actually start our fake married relationship. Alvarez will always be busy as he’s the CEO of one of the wealthiest groups of companies on this continent as of recently. He’s always been a busy man, so it wouldn’t come as a surprise if we barely saw each other at home. As for me, I’ll be working in the same building as he does. I don’t see why it’s necessary, but they’ve already processed it while I was looking away, so I can’t say no anymore. Besides, I don’t really have any reason to say no. I guess I just didn’t want to move to a new environment. The main line of business Alvarez handles involves real estate, and luckily, I specialize in that field. Oh, right. He’s Engineer Alvarez there! It should be easy for me to adjust here because I’ve already gotten accustomed to the type of workload there when I worked under him more than two years ago. It’d be easy…as long as I’m efficient and work well. Alvarez would never let slackers off easily. As I was busy thinking about how I could work there, Alvarez arrived with a tray full of food. He took quite a lot of time, so he probably tried to heat them up before coming back to the bedroom. He slowly placed the tray in front of me before handing me a shirt to wear before getting up. I was surprised when he turned around to let me wear clothes, but I quickly did it and tapped his back. “Thanks,” I muttered as I took my fork and spoon. Alvarez nodded and watched me carefully eat the simple breakfast he cooked. “It’s not poisoned, by the way.” I glared at him. “Why would you say that after I’ve swallowed it?! I almost spit it out.” He simply shrugged as he started eating beside me. The two of us quietly had our first breakfast in bed together. The silence was killing me, but I didn’t know what to say, so I just focused on my food. Alvarez did the same anyway, so I didn’t really know what I was supposed to say. It kind of feels weird to be with him like this when all we do is throw insults and annoying remarks at each other. Now, we kind of look like a real married couple…and I refuse to accept it. “It’s weird to call you Alvarez now,” I blurted out as I sipped on the soup he made. Oh, that warmed me up! “It’s weirder to call you Diaz when you’re Mrs. Alvarez now,” he told me as he flashed a mocking grin. “You should be thankful that I’m not one to waste food…” I trailed off as I sipped on the soup again. “This soup would be all over you by now if I was.” “It’s fine if you’re licking me clean, though.” I shut my eyes tightly as I tried to calm down. We’re in front of the food, and I don’t want to spoil the nice feeling of waking up to someone taking care of me…even if it’s Alvarez. I’d like to just suck it all up and have a hearty meal. I noticed how he smiled when I didn’t retort back and eventually continued to eat. Although it felt weird, I find peace in moments like this. Alvarez would constantly stir conversations up, which are mostly about work and media, but I didn’t mind. The weirdest part is that we’re both quite formal when we talk about those things, but he’ll eventually try to tease me and shatter the atmosphere. Still, I couldn’t smack him because my legs are very sore. “Once I get back on my feet, you’re dead…” I warned him as I laid on my bed again. He just laughed as he sat beside me, not minding that I was hogging the blanket all to myself. It’s just like him to laugh like that when he elicits the response he wants from me! To be frank, it’s annoying, but I have already gotten used to it. I tried to smack his arm in an attempt to hurt him, but he didn’t even flinch! Instead, he just shot me a mocking gaze, like he was asking me if that’s all I’ve got. “f**k you.” “Oh, not satisfied yet, are we?” “Shut up!” We went silent for quite some time, but I stared at my nails as I made plans in my head to go to the salon some time later. Maybe I’ll bring Alvarez with me if he can make time as a VIP pass! And then I saw the marks my nails made on his back. I refused to recall them, so I opted to reminisce something completely different to that topic. And then I remembered that we were leaving today! “Hey,” I called to him as I poked his arm. “Hmm?” he hummed in response. “We’re going back to the city today, right?” I asked. He nodded. “Yeah, why? Do you want to stay here?” Well… The beach is nice and it’s kind of secluded from the rest of the world in its own way, so if he asks me that…I feel tempted to say yes. This place is nice once you’ve seen its beauty. Besides, it’s near the sea! As I thought hard about how to respond, I pouted and looked at the ceiling. Hmm, I don’t think I can leave today because of my legs, but staying here too much may do me no good! That’s going to be very unproductive for both Alvarez and I! “I want to, but we have to return to the city,” I replied and took my phone out. He stared at me like he was assessing my reaction. “We can stay for one more day if that’s what you want. Besides, I don’t think you’d be able to travel back to the city in that state.” Well… Yeah, he’s right. He literally destroyed me to the core, that’s why I’m like this! If I went back while being like this, I’d need a wheelchair. And besides, I really like it here. Maybe I can enjoy the seabreeze for a little more time. I think Alvarez and I deserve a little treat after being put through that kind of situation! “Can we…?” I asked as I looked up at him. “Yeah. Of course, we can. I’ll make a few calls, and we can adjust our schedules.” “Won’t that mess a lot of things up? What about your company?” He flicked his fingers on my forehead when I kept asking questions without waiting for him to answer. To be honest, I was just being annoying so early in the morning! “I’m surprised that didn’t annoy you,” I remarked as I massaged my forehead that he flicked. “You were much louder earlier, mi amor…” he told me, smirking. My mouth went agape as I looked at him, my face immediately heating up as last night’s memories started rushing in. I slowly pulled the blanket up to cover my face, refusing to believe that I was like that… And Alvarez really was having fun teasing the hell out of me just because I couldn’t tease him with anything! I could only glare at him when I tried to take a peek from beneath the blankets. He chuckled as he tried to pull the blanket down, but he couldn’t because my grip on it was tight. “You’re being cute right now.” “Shut up…” I muttered, remembering how many times he said that as he watched me lose my mind under him. Oh, f**k. Now I want to leave…
