“Well, I am sure you are busy and need to get back to your shift, so can you bring us some waters?” Amy looked down her nose at Meridian as she told her what to do.
“Uh, well… I just ended my shift, but Alexa can get something for you. I was just about to sit and watch the band play. If you all want, you can join me at my table?” Meridian nodded back toward the table she had been seated at.
Eric did not waste a moment answering the question, and he did not give anyone else anytime to refuse. “Sure, where is your table?” Eric asked.
With a roll of her eyes, Amy followed Aiden who was following Eric toward Meridian’s table as she left to go and sit back down. The music was loud, and the band was not spending too much time with breaks, not leaving much of a chance for words to be exchanged
