Amanda's cheeks flashed red and she looked away immediately. I could read from her body expression that she was trying to act calm but I could see beyond the act she was putting on.
I noticed the goosebumps on her body and how she strived to act like she was okay despite shivering.
I frowned and raised my brow at her. "Are you cold?"
She swallowed hard and gave a small nod. "Uh, yeah. I uh— I had a hot water bath."
My scowl deepened. "Are you feeling sick?" I moved closer so I could feel her temperature but she stepped away.
