Chloe screamed in rage on the other end of the call.
Vivian calmly hung up.
Then she blocked both Chloe and Adrian and stopped taking their calls entirely.
The next morning, Vivian had barely arrived at work when Marcus pulled her over to see the finished sample based on the design she'd revised.
Vivian stood in front of the necklace.
The blue center stone gleamed with a deep, rich hue under the lights. The accent stones had been arranged in an unusual pattern, and the setting had been adjusted. The overall design flowed more smoothly than in her original sketch.
"The launch can go ahead as scheduled," Marcus said excitedly. "This piece is going to blow people away."
