Harmony came around the corner and hit the brakes seconds before she plowed into the stack of lumber sitting in front of Steve’s borrowed cabin. With a hand to her heart to stop it from racing, she turned the engine off and climbed out of the driver’s seat just as Steve came around the corner of the cabin, carrying a crowbar and a bottle of water. He wore a ball cap, a pair of shorts, and boots. She could see his T-shirt draped over the porch railing.
