This time, Amber was going for the kill. Her claws aimed straight for his heart, but the Alpha King was desperate now.
“Stop!” he screamed. “If you kill me, I’ll make sure everyone you love dies! I’ll slaughter everyone in this pack, starting with your precious friends!”
Amber paused, not because she was afraid, but because she was thinking.
“Try it,” she said coldly. “Let’s see who dies first.”
She lunged for his throat, her jaws closing around his neck. The Alpha King’s scream was cut short as she bit down.
“What the hell?” he screamed. “Raymond! Are you just going to stand there and watch as this crazy woman kills your king?”
She was about to finish him off in one blow when Raymond attacked her.
She released the Alpha King and turned to face this new threat, a smile playing
