~Ellie~
"ELLIE!" The Princess screamed at the top of her lungs. I cringed at the very sound of her shrill, high pitched voice, that seemed like it suited a 5 year old girl, instead of the 25 year old Princess. I went up the stairs quickly, taking two at a time and hurried to her room.
" Yes My Lady." I said, in my nicest tone before bowing before her.
"I need you to accompany me to something." I silently groaned, I was always the one to accompany her to every thing. I was the one to take her to all her dates, none of whom seem to be a fit for her high standards or to shopping trips, where I would end up carrying countless heavy items. I truly despised being the maid, but even more despised being assigned to babysit a women 6 years my senior.
"Yes My Lady, where shall we be going." I said, meeting her gaze. Alexandria, who had hair the color of a sliver moon and eyes that could cut right through you, smiled at me.
" A Royal party, my father has promised me to Jasper Baknor, his father is the King of our great land!" She bragged, turning away from me. I rolled my eyes as soon as her back was to me. Great, a spoiled prince, to go along with this b***h of a princess, maybe she'll finally agree on a marriage and leave me the hell alone! I watched as she fixed her hair, and droned on and on about the marriage to this great prince.
"So Ellie." She started, turning around. I snapped my head back up and met her gaze, making it look like I was completely invested in what she had to say.
"Yes." I smiled.
"Have you ever thought about having a mate of your own." I paused for a second thinking, It would be nice to be bonded to someone, and to have a mate.
"No." I lied, smiling again. I was 19 years old, and have been with Princess Alexandria's family, since I was 9. Although, they said they took me in, as a daughter and companion for Alexandria, I was quickly turned into a maid , and her assistant. Never having a life of my own, oh but I have wished.
~Jasper~
"I am doing what!" I demanded from my father, trying to gain control over my anger.
"You will be meeting Princess Alexandria tonight, in preparation for your upcoming marriage." I groaned loudly. I have never met the Princess, but I have heard stories from her many daters. She was high maintenance, annoying, spoiled. Not that there was anything wrong with having expectations but hers where out of this world. I needed my wife to be a Luna, laid back, someone willing to jump into action at any giving moment. None of that mattered , I have no real interest in finding my mate, I don't have an interest in a forced marriage either.
"Please Jasper, this will help us manage peace among our lands." My Mother said gently, placing her smaller, more fragile hand ontop of mine. I groaned once more, and then nodded, agreeing to my future.
Hopefully, I can last being married to her.
