The Alpha and his Mate

Chapter 7

~Ellie~

I left Jasper's and hurried home. We both knew what had to be done in order for this to work, we had to run away together. To my knowledge the only one who knew about us leaving together was his pack mate and beta, James. I ran inside, ignoring the angry looks I was getting and hurried to my room. I grabbed my book bag and started throwing things in.

Knock, Knock, Knock.

I threw the bag under my bed before laying down on it.

"Come in.' I called, and was met by none other then the Queen herself.

"Ellie, where have you been! It's been hours!" She demanded, I sat up quickly and met her gaze. The Queen was much harsher to me then Alexandria or the King.

"Alexandria told me of the news that I will be forced to leave by the end of the month, so I went for a run, I needed time to think." I said truthfully.

"You were told to NEVER shift unless you are protecting the Princess, you stupid girl!" She screamed. I flinched a tiny bit, if I thought Alexandria's voice was shrill and annoying, this b***h was way worst. I groaned silently, in hopes she will get tried of this and move on.

"I'm sorry Madam." I said in my most sincere voice. Truthfully, I wasn't sorry at all, I mean Im a wolf its only natural that I shift sometimes. After much more insults, and even more " I can't wait until your gone." She left and I was able to continue packing my things. Once everyone in the palace was asleep, I would leave and meet Jasper.

The clock was getting close to midnight, my parents had just turned in for the night. I grabbed my bag and met James outside, it was time to go. I took one last look at the palace and sighed, I hated that I was going to be hurting my mother.

"So James, where are we going?" I asked him, as we walked to the spot where I was to meet Ellie.

Ellie.

Thoughts of her flooded my mind, our first kiss was at the forefront. The way she tasted, and how her body molded to mine, like she was made for me and me alone. Her soft lips, I couldn't wait until I could capture them freely with my own again.

"Well, do you remember when I asked to leave the pack?" He said, trudging through the thickness of the woods. I nodded, vaguely remembering a conversation like that when I was intoxicated.

"Well , I found my mate Jasper, I have been seeing her for some time now, I needed to leave the pack so I could fully be with her." He said. I was shocked, James found his mate and didn't tell me.

"Who is she?" I asked, a little bit more interested.

"Her name is Caroline, I met her the night of your so called engagement/ meeting party with Alexandria, she is a she wolf." He explained. We walked and I couldn't help but feel a sense of profoundness for my best friend, he finally found his happiness.

"So, how does she fit into all this?" I asked him, stopping at the spot that we where to meet Ellie.

"Well, she owns some land a bit away from here, she offered it to all three of us, we wont be found easily." He explained. I breathed a sigh of relief. For a while I had no clue where I was going to take Ellie, but all that mattered to me, was she was safe in my arms.

I spotted her a distance away, her red hair blowing slightly in the wind. When she finally reached me , I couldn't contain how I felt, I pulled her into my arms and hugged her tightly.

"Ellie." I breathed, taking in the scent of her hair, she was intoxicating to me.  I was so incredibly happy, I finally had my mate with me, and I knew whatever was to come, we could handle it.

"I'm happy for the reunion Alpha, but we need to get moving, we have until the sun is up before anyone realizes you both are gone and figures it out." James said, pulling me out of my sweet moment with my mate. I was  a bit annoyed,but he was right. I grabbed Ellie's hand, and we made our way behind James. Ellie was silent most of the walk, only answering my questions, not offering anything of her own. I was wondering if she was regretting what happened.

"Ellie, are you okay?" I finally asked her, she was silent not offering me much information.

"I'm a little worried Jasper, what will happen to us once our Kingdoms find out." She said. I held onto her a little tighter, I did not want her to worry about a single thing, not one. I would handle anything that comes our way, for she was all that would ever matter.

It was just before dawn when James led us to Caroline's home, it was a small cabin in the woods, nothing that would stand out to much.

A very small, blonde haired women came running out of the door and wrapped her arms around James. I cold only assume that was his mate Caroline.

"Jasper, Ellie, I would like for you to meet my mate, Caroline." James said, gesturing the small women.

"A pleasure." Caroline bowed slightly to us.

"Thank you." I smiled at her, Ellie smiled as well. Caroline led us inside, and showed us to our room. Insuring our safety while we where here. They left us alone and Ellie laid on the bed, surly exhausted from her journey.

"Ellie, whats on your mind?" I asked, hovering over her.

"I'm just overwhelmed with happiness to be here with you." She smiled up at me. I was completely captivated by her dazzling smile. I don't know what I ever did to deserve such a beautiful women but I was thanking the heavens that I did it. I placed a light kiss on her awaiting lips. The kiss started off lightly and innocently , but turned into something heated and heavy. I groaned into her mouth as I felt her lower half rubbing against me. Our bodies seemed to react to another, and I was completely involved. I wanted to mark her, make her officially mine. I wanted to take her body and claim it, but I knew now was not the right time. After kissing her for a while longer, I pulled back and just stared into her jade eyes.

"Ellie, I love you, I love you so much. I whispered.

I knew that the sun was rising, and that our kingdoms will be waking up to us gone, if they hadn't already, and I knew it would get dangerous.

No matter what, I will protect Ellie, I will be with her until I die.

I loved Ellie, and nothing could take me away from her.
