As soon as I walked into the ballroom, I felt an immediate change in the air, something like I've never experienced before. Her scent hit me first, and almost brought me to my knees, second I scanned the room trying to find the source of it. Finally my eyes rested, not on Princess Alexandria, my future wife, but on the small women standing next to her. I was completely captivated in this women, her red hair, looking as soft as silk, something I wouldn't mind brushing, or stroking in the night time, stopping just ontop of her breast.
Her breast.
No, I shook my head and tried to focus. When her gaze finally met mine, I knew I was screwed, her jade orbs meeting my darker grey ones, captivating, pulling me in. I was drawn to her, my wolf screamed and whined, he wanted me to go to her.
I knew what it was.
I found my mate.
I cleared my throat, and made my way to the front, I needed to act like nothing was bothering me. I met the gaze of the Princess and felt disgusted. I didn't want her.
"Good evening Princess." I took her small hand in mine, and kissed it. My wolf was angry at the gesture, but I knew what I had to do, for the sake of the kingdom.
"Hello Prince." She smiled at me. My eyes flickered again, to the women beside her, she was looking straight forward. Her face was a mixed emotion of pain, and what seemed to be annoyance. I could tell, whatever I was feeling, she was feeling too.
"Ellie!" The Princess said, grabbing the attention of this mystery women.
"Yes My Lady. She said, turning to the pair of us.
"Greet the Prince, how rude of you to just ignore him!" She demanded. Ellie faced me, and bowed, the gesture, although a custom in our time, felt wrong coming from my mate.
"Good evening Prince, I'm sorry for my lack in manners, please forgive me." She said, her gaze never meeting my own.
"Forgiven." I said, she lifted her head, looking straight into my soul, she bolted.
"ELLIE!, ELLIE!!" The Princess screamed, but Ellie just kept running, running past the guest, the guards, even my pack brothers, and ran out the double doors.
" I must have not made it clear that I forgave her, I will go find her and bring her back." I said, looking at Alexandria.
"What a sweet man you are, yes go." Alexandria bought my lies easily, I wasn't going to make up, I was going to talk to the women, who was my mate.
~Ellie~
I stopped breathing when he made his way to the front, standing before the Princess. I chose to look right ahead, ignoring him completely. His scent, was dragging me in though, and my wolf was screaming. I knew he was my mate, but I wondered if he felt it too. My self controlled almost snapped when he grabbed Alexandria's hand and kissed it. I kept my composure, until I heard her voice say my name all to loudly. I turned to face her and locked eyes with the prince for a second. Alexandria demanded I greet him, and I really wanted to ring her neck in that moment. I bowed and offered my apologies for being rude. I lifted my head and met his gaze once more, before I could really register what I was doing, I was running. I ran past everyone, not caring what they thought as that stupid high pitch voice called out for me. I ran until I was in the woods and out of breath. His scent hit me again, and I froze.
fuck f**k fuck
he was coming this way.
