Once Rico heard what Mr Jay had said he had to say it out loud to be sure he heard right "Don't you have a name? " He knew he hit his head but this guy wasn't making any sense at all "We can't give out our name until we're sure you're one of us" said the strange man "My name is Mr Jacques Pierre but you can call me Mr Jay and I suppose you are Ricardo Alfonso de Todos Marquez" he said as his brows furrowed. "Umm, yes I am... " Rico said "How did you know my...name? " Rico was so curious to know who this man was exactly that he knew his full name, nobody was meant to know it at least no living person was meant to know it "Um, yes I am" Rico said "How did you know my... " Rico was so confused because nobody knew those names the people who knew it were missing or dead he wasn't sure about that but no one outside his family knew him that way all they knew was that he was the son from one the wealthiest families in Spain and now is a homeless kid on the streets of America, that's so swell! "That would be a story for Later" Mr Jay said as he left the room "And oh! Feel free to wander around till dinner time and oh they are just twins don't let the numbers confuse you. What? Did he just read my mind? Because that was just crazy Rico thought to himself He started scanning the room to look at all the friendly faces till he saw a dark skinned boy about his age dressed in all black with braids that suited him just fine leaning by the wall "who are you?" Rico said staring right at him, he just stood up straight and walked away without saying a word to Rico "That was delightful" Rico continued "That's just Salim being Salim, mysterious and creepy" Said one of the twins who was clearly a duplicate (there were five of her in the room, ) She and her clones were being all dreamy just by thinking of Salim the girl who healed me earlier just rolled her eyes "You know we risked our lives to save yours so you better not be a phony, if what Mr Jay says is true then we don't have much time anymore" said the Chinese no, Japanese no, Korean? Rico had no idea but all he knew was that he was Asian. A hand was stretched to help Rico get off the bed. "Welcome to the Institute for the Paranormal Child or IPC if you like, this is an academy for gifted Kids like you and I. I'm Ryu, the dude who left the room is Salim as you already know, the twins Estrid and Astrid and finally Ji-yong" Ryu finally concluded his introduction of these complete strangers who he'd never seen in his entire life. Rico wanted to leave there the moment he fully recovered which wasn't long before Ryu started talking, he'd only stayed back because he wanted to get info on what relationship or ties he had with Mr Jay"We're a team by the way, the lowest ranked one at that" Astrid said becoming annoyed for some reason "We couldn't even save you" Rico suddenly didn't know what was happening anymore he couldn't help but ask what happened when they rushed in to save him suddenly it felt like the temperature of the room dropped by a lot of degrees as they all turned away from Rico in shame "That would be Greg's team best in the entire school, they swooped in just in time to save us as usual " Astrid said with a lot of disgust and hate, Rico decided to cut it with the questions because he didn't want to be on Astrid's blacklist. "Astrid you're just saying that because Greg's their leader" Estrid said laughing as usual "Hey Rico, you know they used to be an item but now they're so six months ago ". "Why did they split? " I said suddenly "They split because, because..." And at that exact moment there was a loud ring that echoed through the entire place, he yelped and held his ears as they roared within him "What was that? " Rico asked as he caught Ji-yong giggle a little from the corner of his eyes, did she think it was funny he thought out loud "You'd get used to it after a few weeks" Ji-yong said as she stormed out of the room leaving the spot she stood scorched. As she left the ward she was accompanied by the others. Were they all pissed at him for asking a lot of questions or were they just really hungry?
