As the morning light crept through the curtains, I stirred from my uneasy slumber, plagued by the guilt and fear of what I had done the previous night. I had betrayed the devil himself, and now, I could feel the walls closing in around me. Still, I pushed the thoughts aside for now, there was no turning back.
I got out of bed and followed my usual routine, showering and dressing in the clothes provided by my so-called Master.
Downstairs, Nonna was already busy in the kitchen, the clattering of pots and pans serving as a familiar backdrop to this surreal life. I joined her for breakfast, trying to act as normal as possible, although the weight of my actions pressed heavily on my chest.
