"You'll be going home after two days." Guren calmly said with his arm crossed in front of me. For the past few days, I hadn't heard anything from my so-called adopted father, and now that I was going to be released in a few, he pops outta nowhere. Talk about caring. The good side of it though was that I could go home, live my life like before, and continue whatever I was doing. I could be myself again. My face grew bright like the moon on its full phase. "Someone looks happy." Guren nonchalantly commented. I crossed my arms and averted my gaze from him, "Che!" This made him chuckle at my reaction. It must have activated the devil inside him. Ugh. Then I felt a touch on my head. My hair was being ruffled around, messier than it already was. I flailed my arms around to try getting rid of the menace which was Guren's hand. My violent hands must have made him tired of messing my hair around because, after a while, he stopped. I looked at my adopted father. "You've been bedridden these past days, haven't you? Why don't you walk around the hospital and make friends?" He suggested. This made me blink, but I had realized that he reminded me of the same thing he used to annoy me with back when things were normal. This... this guy! I clenched my fists tight and scowled, "Again with the making friends! I told you it's useless, and it'll only be a liability when I go fighting goons!" Guren narrowed his eyes at me and then put on a wicked smile on his face. "You better be thankful you're a patient. Else, I would have smacked you on the head." I returned his grin, "I'd like to see you try, old man." This made Guren's brows furrow, irritated with my attitude. He leaned to my face, ready to brawl like a wild animal. Guren let out an annoyed snort, backing off from me and creating distance. "You should be thankful the nurse is here. Che!" He turned his back from me and looked at Mr. Nurse. They both bowed their heads at each other, and Guren went out of the room without sparing me a look. I heard him slam the door, but desperately trying not to. Mr. Nurse approached me with a soft chuckle. Gently, he sat down on the edge of my bed, sitting near me. Now our eyes were leveled, and we were close to one another. I could feel myself get chills and frost bites just from him being this near to me. And especially now that he was giving me this angelic smile. He really was an embodiment of Mika. He looked so perfect. "So, shall we take up the advice your father gave you?" He smiled. I found myself at lost for words with the way he gazed at me. Mika... his face was really like yours. Just the sight of your face being alive makes me unstable. I pretended not to care about the subject he brought up. "Pssh. Seriously? I don't need to make new friends..." I scoffed. I had thought it would make Mr. Nurse annoyed and want to stop pushing the topic, but I was dead wrong. Mr. Nurse had instead become playful, "Why not? This could be a good opportunity for you. I mean... no offense, you don't really have any friends, do you~" My eyes grew wide at his comment, and my cheeks burning up like a hot frying pan whippin' up some fresh bacon and eggs. I scowled at him with energy, "I-I do have friends!!" He rolled his eyes with a grin. I had thought there was nothing more, but it looks like there was still more up his sleeve. "Mhhmm" he grinned at me with his hooded eyes, "You got in the hospital after an accident, and the only ones to visit you are your adopted dad and a girl you barely even know. You definitely have friends." I grew wide-eyed at his comment. Without thinking, I grabbed his shirt tight, holding on to it with my cheeks hot as hell. "W-what do you know??" As I said those words, it finally sank in that our faces were only a few ways apart. I could feel his breath grazing at my skin as he mischievously smiled. I bit my lip in embarrassment. There was no way to undo this situation. "M...mika..." I whispered softly. I had intended to say that name only to myself as it had become a habit for me. It didn't come across my thoughts that the nurse would be able to hear, even if he was a mere inches away from me. He looked at me with his sapphire-colored eyes. "What is it, Yuu?" When he said those words with such ease, I felt my chest jump for a moment. It wasn't anything big, and he had said it without effort too. But the way it rung in my ears, it made my body tingle, my chest shaking, and my mind as blank as paper. With a shaky voice, I replied, "Mika...?" Mr. Nurse rested his forehead on mine, and his hand traveled to my hand. Our fingers intertwined with one another. His breath tickled my lips as a sign that we were so close. "Yuu..." He stared at me deeply as if he were in a daze or a dream-like state. We both stayed still, and Mr. Nurse wasn't acting like himself. It was as if he was someone else. "Mika...?" I called once more as I licked my lips in tension. "Yuu..." The blonde angel leaned towards me a little more. I could feel his lips almost touching mine. My chest pounded even harder. What was he trying to do? The wind suddenly blew gently on my window, and a chime hanging on it danced. It made a small sound. Ting Ting Ting "Huh?" Mr. Nurse jerked away from me, his hand letting go of mine, and a distance being put between us. His eyes blinked fast a few times, and his head tilted in confusion. It was as if he had just woken up from a deep sleep. "Huh? What happened?" He asked. I looked at him, still dumbfounded by what had transpired moments ago. Mr. Nurse touched my forehead with his hand, "Your face is all red. Do you have a fever or something?" He acted normal like always once more. It was as if he was a different person earlier. All that... because I had called him Mika. Just what does that mean? And what he was doing earlier... w-was he trying to kiss me???? "Ugh..." I hear Mr. Nurse grimace. He let go of my forehead and transferred his hand on his own forehead. He had a pained expression. I started to worry. Something was wrong with the nurse, that's more than bad news. "What's wrong?" I tapped him on the shoulder. He looked at me, still in the same pain, "Sorry... it's just a headache... must be stress from work." My brows slant, and I grew on a frown, "I know you wanna help people, but you gotta have some time to rest yourself too. Don't overdo it, okay?" He smiled a bit, "Right. Sorry..." he stared at me again. This time he looked less in pain. "Say, Hyakuya Yuu... have we ever met before?" That question... didn't I feel something similar just a few days ago? That every time I looked at him, I felt a sense of nostalgia. But nonetheless, I shook my head, "I'm not sure. Maybe we saw each other on a train or something." Mr. Nurse fixed himself, standing up from my bed, "I see...yeah. That would probably be normal." He smiled, "Hey, do you wanna go around the hospital? It must be tiring being stuck in this room for a whole week." The thought of Mr. Nurse wanting to cheer me up had made me smile. I nodded without second thoughts, "Yeah. Great idea!" He helped me up from my bed. As I stood on the floor, my legs felt so weird. It had been a while since I had to stand. Sure I did it a couple of times when I wanted to go to the bathroom, but to walk for no reason was different. It was a new world for me. Mr. Nurse walked with me around the hospital halls. The other nurses greeted the two of us as we passed by. All kinds of people were around. Patients, nurses, adults. We moved to the garden. There were other people there too. Despite the number of people in the area, the place had a calming effect on me. Like it put me At ease. My attention was caught by two boys around four or five years old. They were both sitting down on a chair by an outdoor table. One was scribbling on a piece of paper while the other looked at him with sincere interest. Curiously, I stared at the two. "Wow! That looks cool!" Mr. Nurse commented with a smile on his face. This brought the boys to look at him. Smiles developed on their faces as they saw Mr. Nurse "Ah! Mi-nii-chan!" One of the boys called him. Mr. Nurse crouched down so he could speak to them eye-to-eye. He was surprisingly gentle, kind, and caring. It seemed like the kids were excited about telling him stuff, and in return, he showed interest. I could clearly see that he was the type of person who could make you feel cared for and loved. My eyes softened. It was just like how Mika was back in the orphanage. He was everyone's big brother. I could remember him being in the same position as Mr. Nurse, listening to the random things the younger kids would say. There was no doubt that he was Mika. He just didn't know who he was exactly. Could he have lost his memories after the kidnapping incident? I touched my lips for a moment. What happened earlier was something I didn't expect, and I don't think Mr. Nurse here planned on doing that too. I doubt he also remembers what he did. The way his body responded to the call of his name... was it unconsciously Mikaela Hyakuya moving? The memories, the feelings, Mika's fears and desires... are they still alive in him somehow? Guh... all this thinking made my head hurt. Tss. I'll think about it later! "Oiii! Yuu! Hyakuya Yuu-chaaan! Are you alive?" Mr. Nurse's voice rung in my ears. I must have floated away from reality while I was thinking. "Che!" I scoffed as I went near him and the two boys, "Don't call me Yuu-chan! It's weird!" As I bent down with Mr. Nurse, he stuck his tongue at me playfully, "At least someone thinks you're cute in some ways." My soul jumped at his sentence. I recalled that Mika said the same exact thing back when we were little. It was weird. Even though I was already confirming that he was Mika, I still felt like I could weaken every time Mr. Nurse would say something Mika did in the past. My lungs had lost its strength, and I immediately became desperate for air. My breath grew heavy as I touched my chest in panic. Mr. Nurse looked at me with worry, "Yuu?" It grew tighter, my chest. It felt as if someone was gripping on my lungs so tightly that air couldn't pass by. Just like the last time this had happened, my vision had blurred out once more. It looked like rain pouring down the car window. Everything became obscure. Darkness slowly covered everything in my sight. There was nothing more to see as my consciousness gave in. I had another attack from my breathing. But it's okay... I finally found you, Mika.
