I can’t believe what just happened. Sanne just kissed me, out of nowhere, after that disastrous walk to the beach.
I tried to make conversation with her, but I’m always too awkward, and when she started talking about her ex not liking pets... It reminded me of the ways in which people change, just to be with someone. It reminded me of the ways people pretend to be okay with things, just because they don’t want to be alone.
It reminded me of fake smiles and words that people don’t mean. It reminded me too much of fakery.
And I know that I shouldn’t have taken it out on her. She was just trying to be nice and answer my question, but to watch her face fall like that... It hurt even though it was ridiculous. I shouldn’t feel that attached to her, but I guess that even more
