CHAPTER 15
SANNE
The look on Josie’s face as she spots me is indescribable. The way her eyes grow, her mouth opens and she falters a step. She definitely didn’t expect me here. With that last message, I thought she would guess what was up, but I guess that she had no idea.
I walk over to her, reaching out and she takes my hands. “Wow.” Her voice is breathy.
I grin. “Good surprise?”
Josie nods, then pulls me closer, wrapping her warm arms around me. “I didn’t think I’d see you today.”
“I didn’t want to spend tonight alone.” I wrap my arms around her too, her scent surrounding me and calming me down, making me comfortable, making me feel homely. Making me feel at home.
