CHAPTER 3 SANNE The snow is steadily falling down around us as we walk down the road, back to the warmth of our homes for the week. The white flakes make the world look so different. So much more serene, so much softer. The trees and bushes are all getting covered in a slight layer of white and there is just something about it. It’s so beautiful. Bente keeps trying to catch some of the flakes in her mouth, the dog so excited and happy by the falling snow. It makes the quiet walk back to the apartment easy instead of awkward. Then the place I’m staying at comes into view, the old building reminiscent of a time long past, a time where this island would have been used for healing people with a range of problems.
