CHAPTER 10
JOSIE
Curling up on the couch with Sanne is so much fun. It’s still really cold outside, but it’s warm and cosy inside, especially right here. It also reminds me so much of the summers we used to spend together, all the hours and days and weeks we’d be here and get into trouble together and everything, before we’d just sort of crash together at the end of the day, relaxing instead.
Sometimes I ache when I remember those days and wonder where the brave version of me went. I wonder when I started to become so much more… cautious and less brave. I was the wild one of us, at least when it came to getting into trouble, or the way I dressed (though that could totally have been overcompensating for being pretty shy, by the way).
