[Eleanor's Pov] [Summer, 2008] [1: 45 am, morning] My eyes opened on the sound of a glass breaking, and I sat up. My heart was pounding, and my breathing was shallow due to the sudden awakening from sleep. I could hear loud shouting coming from outside the room. It took me a while to recognize those voices. Without hesitation, I quickly got up from my bed and ran outside and saw that my mother was fighting with my father about something, and my 10-year-old mind was unable to understand what was going on. Everything was fine before I went to sleep. My father had been in the room and my mother had come to bed after feeding me.
