“WHO YOU CALLING LITTLE BUDDY CHUMP!”

Eric was flabbergasted and began to stutter...”d-did you just talk to me?”

The rodent replied “ you see anyone else around man?”

Eric was getting excited when out of nowhere his brother Kai started Laughing hysterically.

“You really thought that critter was talking to you?” And continued laughing.

Eric Yelled out “ WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE SUCH A JERK KAI?” In which Kai replied “Because I can little bro.”  Eric was frustrated at this point and couldn’t take it anymore. He bursted into the house yelling at his parents “WHY DID I HAVE TO BE THE ONLY ONE WITHOUT POWERS?!  THIS STINKS!” As tears ran down his face His parents had major concern and sadness in their eyes as they looked at each other not knowing what to do.

Kai entered the house walking with arrogance in every step when his mothers booming voice began to echo in the house. “KAI UMI SUMMONER! UNTIL YOU CAN LEARN TO BE COMPASSIONATE AND RESPECT YOUR BROTHER YOU ARE GROUNDED AND ARE NOT ALLOWED TO COME ON MISSIONS WITH ME! ITS BAD ENOUGH YOUR BROTHER IS TRYING SO HARD TO FIND HIS ABILITIES AND YOU ARE NOT MAKING IT ANY EASIER ON HIM!” 

His father cowered at the sound of her voice. Knowing his wife was angry beyond the maximum of angry and as soon as he saw her eyes light he ran out of the house.

Kai yelled out “WHAT?! NO! YOU CANT DO THAT MOM!” 

His mother boomed in anger. “YOU DARE TO TALK BACK TO ME YOUNG MAN!?” As she spoke Flames began to spark in here eyes. Kai knew he just dug himself into a deep deep hole as he began to cower realizing he just intensified his mothers anger.

Kai spoke with more softness in his tone “sorry mom I wont do it again please let me keep on helping you PLEASE MOM”

As his mother was beyond able to calm down already she firmly said “NO! Change your attitude then you can Help. But until you can respect your brother and be more understanding then you sister will be helping me out in the field.

His sister was nearby and hearing this her eyes sparked with excitement “REALLY MOM! I can come along on your next mission ?!?!?!” 

His mother replied “Yes hunny your training starts tomorrow.”

Penny was ecstatic and hopped up the stairs to her brother Eric’s room to tell him the good news.

ERIC”S POV

I saw my sister happily skipping into my room. “GUESS WHAT BIG BROTHER! MOM JUST SAID I CAN GO WITH YOU GUYS NEXT TIME!”

I was happy for her since I knew she always wanted to come. But at the same time it made me sad because I was just bait and she would be doing all the cool stuff with mom. 

“Penny I’m happy for you”

She saw the sadness in my eyes and replied “Sorry Eric I didn’t mean to Rub it in your face or anything.... if it makes you feel better Kai got grounded for constantly torturing you.”

Upon hearing this my lips curled up into an evil smile finally he got what he deserved,

I looked at my sister with a smile and she returned the smile her eyes brightening knowing she made me feel a little better.

That’s what I loved about my sister she was always nice to me and she cared about how I felt. She was 6 years younger than me but she always tried to be there for me.

Penny looked at me with satisfaction and said “well I’m gonna go. I wanna go practice with Kitty”

I smiled at her and she smiled back. As she walked to the door she turned back to look at me “ You know Eric... I know you can do it. I’ll be rooting for you. Maybe the Almighty doesn’t feel its time for you yet but when it is then You’ll have something REALLY cool and I cant wait to see it... maybe after training tomorrow we can go and I can help you wake up your power.”

I thanked her and she walked off to her room.

The next morning was the same routine. Wake up Brush my teeth, get changed into comfy clothes, eat breakfast and headed outside to watch mom teach Penny what was to be expected of the day. Telling her to be on her toes and alert. Also to keep an eye on me so in case she didn’t make it to me in time penny could stop them from hurting me.

I sighed and just sat there feeling useless. I walked out into the field as mom yelled to me “ dont go too far son” I nodded and walked out to a bolder sat and began to meditate.  I was so deep into my meditation that I didn’t hear anything and then a loud booming voice came out behind me “FREE THE ALIENS STOP TESTING ON THEM!” I felt a sharp pain hit my head and I blacked out.
