Nobody talked about the incident the next day even after two days. I thought everyone had forgotten about the while thing so School life went on.
George no longer talks to me, in fact we never crossed parts but I know he comes to School.
Days passed until this day, George came into my class and gave me back my Biology note
Thanks for the note he said and turned to leave.
Our class prefect Melinda came forth and stopped him
Hey George where the hell are you going, stop there!
The whole class came closer to know what was going on
how can I help you? George asked turning to face her
Our girl Miss Treasure wrote a letter to you true or false

And you saw the letter and read it, true or false

So are you also into our girl? she giggled
I don't understand What you are talking about
Its a love proposal if you are interested say yes if you are not simply say no! she shouted

George sighed and turned to look at me
I'm sorry to say this Miss Treasure but as you can see, they keep pushing me

My head was bursting, my ears blocked, all the blood in my body suddenly rushed to my head, it was as if my head was full of water or perhaps blood and my brain and its parts were floating on the water.
My legs became too weak to carry me, my hands trembled, I was losing consciousness, I collapsed to the floor.
I woke up perhaps hours later to find myself in the sickbay. I opened my eyes slowly and saw George hovering around the sickbay room. He rushed to me when he saw that I was awake.
Treasure you are awake, Treasure? look at me..look at me
I tried opening my eyes well to look at him but my eyes kept shutting. I kept blinking involuntarily until my eyes shut.
When i woke up later, I saw George sitting on a nearby bench. His hands supporting his head as he looked intently at the floor. He didn't notice I was awake so I decided not to alert him.
I kept quiet looking at him, wondering why am not angry with him. I should be mad at him, I should hate him now but the reverse was the case.
Just then, I felt an irresistible urge to sneeze and I sneezed.
George jumped in surprise.
You are finally awake he said
I was looking at him silently
How's your body? he asked
where is Christabel I said ignoring his question
She just left with others
to where?
for some joint classwork
You didn't go, oh! they forced you
No, I just wanted to stay
what of your marks? I asked
He shrugged, what if yours he said

gone too he said, re you hungry?
yes I said
okay let me rush and get you something to eat he said and left. When he came back the nurse excused herself and also left.
He drew a stool and sat beside my bed
sit he said and helped me to sit as if I was heavily injured
what did the nurse say is wrong with me I asked
Nothing, you only fainted
yes, she said if you have any problem its not physical its psychological

He opened the food which was in a take away and handed the food to me
I didn't collect the food, I sat still looking at him.
you can't feed yourself? mummy's pet he teased and looked around nervously
did anybody come here after the nurse left?

okay let me feed you he said relieved.
I wondered why he was afraid of feeding me in the presence of a third party or was that shyness? When I was done eating the fried rice and chicken, he brought out a juice which I drank after which I yawned
Are you feeling sleepy ?

then what is it?
hunger I said
He swallowed hard.

fruits I said
Okay he said and left. He came back with a polythene bags, he emptied the fruits in a bowl and went and washed them.
Then he presented the fruits before me.
Before me was; bananas, apples, pineapple, mangoes and the rest.
I picked the fruits I liked and left the rest for him.
He ate the ones I left.
When we were done eating. we washed our hands and he sat down.
Hope you are full now he said
I shook my head
hmmn?
No I said
His eyeballs enlarged.
what else?
I want shortbread
which one?
the big one I said
oh! na, that's too expensive. He paused for a while, then he continued
Don't worry, I will get it for you he said and left and came back with it.
When I was done eating
He smiled, no more complain from you ba?
I'm thirsty I said
I should bring water? he asked
No, yoghurt
George almost fainted
what a glutton! you too dey eat he exclaimed and left.
Later on I ate pepper soup and drank malt, I ate more snacks and sweets before I agreed that I was filled.
George said the lesson he learnt that day was never to ask me if my stomach was full. I laugh.
When a student the School sent to check on me came and asked if I had eaten?
I said no
George screamed.
