Chapter 7 - Agony of Seduction “Why are you here?” Leandro walked towards the light and I could then see his face clearly, he looked overwhelmed, possibly frightened and a little drunk. “I decided to work late,” I replied. “I have so much work to do and the normal office hours won’t be enough.” He looked at the ground and brushed his hair with his hand, if I didn’t know better, I would think he was being empathetic. “The workload that I gave you, right?” he asked, rubbing his forehead. “Uhm, yes sir but-“ “I’m sorry about that, Maddox.” Excuse me? Sorry? Did he just apologize to me? Leandro de la Vega? Apologize? And did he call me Maddox again? “It’s no problem, sir,” I replied, “I’m happy with my duty, it’s what I’m getting paid for.” “It is,” he said, “It is what you’re getting paid for.” He slowly sat on one of the guest chairs in the office room and then sighed deeply as he looked up at the ceiling. I couldn’t hold it back anymore, I had to ask him. “Sir, are you alright?” He sighed again, “Yes, Maddox, I am alright.” “Uhm. . . I was just. . . Are you sure you’re alright, sir?” “It is none of your f*****g business if I’m alright or not, Maddox,” he snapped, “Now stop being as prying as f**k and do whatever the f**k it is you’re doing.” I bit my lip and nodded my head in concurrence. What he said hurt me but it was obvious that he had a lot in his mind. “I’m uh. . . sorry sir for prying,” I replied and continued with my work. I heard him sigh even more exhaustingly this time and I could see him from the corner of my eye looking down at the floor. “I cancelled the wedding,” he said. My brows sprung up instantly and my fingers stop punching on the keyboard, did I hear him right? “You cancelled the wedding?” I asked him. “With Chastity, yes,” he responded. I sprang up from my office chair and walked out of my office with my hands clasped together and my face painted with the most sympathetic look I could come up with. “I’m really sorry to hear that, sir,” I said to him. “You don’t have to apologize, I know you never liked her,” he replied, “I’m the one who called off the wedding.” “I don't think what I like matters in your personal life, sir,” I said softly, “And I don’t think it was an easy decision for you to make either.” I touched him on his shoulder and he raised his head slowly to look at me. “No,” he replied, “I guess it wasn’t.” “Why did you call it off?” I asked as I sat down on the chair next to him, “The wedding?” “I called it off, Maddox. You don’t need to know why.” “Yes, you’re right, I’m sorry.” “But I can tell you that Chastity wasn’t the kind of woman I am looking for.” “Oh,” I quietly exclaimed, “Then what type. . . what type of woman are you looking for?” He raised his head to look at me and we both locked eyes, staring into each other for a moment as I felt my heartbeat fasten. “The type of woman I am looking for?” he asked, his eyes still locked with mine. “Yes,” I replied, “Don’t you know?” “I do.” “Then what is it?” I waited for his reply, my breath was heavy, my head was cloudy and my heart beat paced. I awaited his answer desperately and I also was scared. Scared that he would change his mind and suddenly end the short conversation we were having. He sat backwards and folded his arms still maintaining eye contact with me. The only light in the office was reflecting in his deep sea blue eyes, who knew maybe they were reflecting in mine too. The moment felt too special, too real even though it was usually impossible. I would have imagined myself sitting in the dark, staring into Leandro's eyes as he stared into mine but I never would have imagined it happening. “Why do you want to know?” he asked. My facial expression admitted that I wasn't expecting the question, I wasn't expecting any question. He caught me off guard and I panicked and blushed but he didn't, he just kept looking at me blankly only thing that showed any emotion were his darkish blue eyes. “I don't know,” I replied when I noticed he wasn't laughing with me, “I guess I was just curious. Or who knows, maybe I know someone who could be like that.” “Could you?” “Yeah,” I nodded my head repeatedly, “Yeah, I could. If you told me the type of woman your heart yearns for.” He smirked. “What?” I asked, “What's funny?” “Does it always have to be the heart?” he asked, licking his lips as he pulled his eyes away from me. “What do you mean?” I asked him. “What if I want a woman my body yearns for?” I felt my systems freeze and a wave flow through my body as he turned back to look at me. The moment he said those words, he was looking at me once again and so were his lips. Was he expecting me to say something? Because I didn't know what to say, he hadn't completely clouded my thoughts and everything type of thinking I wanted to do. He sat there, a suit, a loose tie and his hair looked messy for the first in my life, why was this man doing this to me? And how? I didn't know what to say and so I did what I wanted to do, whether he liked it or not, I didn't care. I leaned forward and pushed my lips into his, hard, very hard. He was surprised, he pulled away briefly but not completely as the kiss lasted for a couple of seconds. It was so satisfying that I need more, his lips were perfectly calibrated with mine, his tongue was locked with mine and our noses didn't get in the way. When he finally pulled away, we stared at each other for a complete second, just a second. A second of unabridged understanding between us, a second where we knew what we both wanted and finally accepted it, a second where I looked into his eyes and saw him yield to my seduction. It was the second that changed my whole life because when I tried to kiss him again, he didn't let me. He grabbed me by my face with both hands and got up on his feet, forcing me up with me and pushing me to the wall. He then grabbed my hands and held them to ice cold burning wall as he dug his lips into my neck, kissing and biting me softly. I moaned desperately, I needed him to let go of my hands but I didn't want him to. I had become so used to my hands when I was making love but he was depriving me of them, I couldn't touch him, I couldn't touch myself. All I could do was move my legs around and moan.
