"Sit down, Solana. I don't bite." The Alpha king said to me with a warm smile tugging at his lips. As I settled down on the chair in front of his desk, I grew even more tense. I couldn't trust him. He could be an enemy in disguise for all I cared. Still, there was a strange pull between us. Even the air felt different around him.
"You feel it too, don't you?" He asked and I swallowed past the lump in my throat.
"I only realized why you seemed familiar after you left," he uttered softly. I blinked, puzzled.
He reached into a drawer, and when he leaned towards me again, our hands almost brushed. The near-touch sent a strange shiver up my spine.
