I had somehow reached my limit, I felt like a dog starved of affection. He just stood there for a while, a blank look on his face. Then he turned towards me.
"You...want me to reject you because you enjoy my company?" He asked, and a lump formed in my throat. If he put it like that...it sounded foolish.
