“Well you look better.” Valentina's eyes didn’t lift to mine as I stood there in the open doorway of one of the rundown cabins the wolves had put us in. There was no one else in the small room that I could see but that didn’t surprise me. Valentina probably had charmed herself a cabin of her own and crammed all the others into one like sardines in a tin.
“I feel better thanks to-“
Valentina's head snapped up. “Thanks to Thana?” Her voice dripped with sarcasm. There was genuine hatred in her voice. “You don’t need to go into detail, her stench is l over you.”
Pulling back one of the spindley chairs back with a scrape I fell into it. “You sound like a jilted lover Valentina.”
Her dark eyes flashed angrily.
“Jealousy doesn’t suit you.”
