Understanding that Sage's unwillingness to return the town to normal stemmed from the large amount of pressure on her shoulders, Sarah, Mia, Laura, and, Ella decide against using any sort of physical force against her opting to finish the staroy of The Magical Pumpkin Patch in a positive way. To this end they opt for a much more subtle approach by reminding her of the things that she has to be thankful for in life, her friends, her work for the Drama Club, her love for the arts, all sorts of things. Sage is at first unaffected by the girls efforts to reach her still under the books' magic effects, but then Sarah begins to act out a scene from the play Lilith scraped from the fall festival Sage slowly yet surely follows her lead. And, after the big finish, Sage agrees to surrender her crown and return Maplewood to its former glory. With Sage willing and able to surrender her crown to the other 4 girls, she slowly returns to her old self and stands along with the Girls as Laura Reads the final few Pages of the book And as she does Maplewood goes from the wacky Pumpkin Patch it warped into when Sage first read it to it's former glory.
