The Pumpkin Princess

222 Words
Sage Wilder has read “The Magical Pumpkin Patch” aloud and, as a result, the world around her and Sarah, Laura, Mia, and, Ella begins to alter around them. The buildings begin to vanish and pumpkins take their place. The sidewalks become stone paths and most of all, the girls get a new wardrobe in the form of harvesting clothes and jackets. Laura, being the only one who knows exactly what's happening, simply grabs the book as it flies in midair and picks up where Sage left off. “Once Upon A Time, There was a pumpkin patch”, she began, Sarah Ella and Mia watch on perplexed as she continues. “And in that pumpkin patch sat a Pumpkin Princess on her throne,” she read, the scene suddenly alters to show everything from the pumpkin patch to the Pumpkin Princess. And to the three girls who are newer to what's going on's utter shock, the Pumpkin Princess, as it turns out, is Sage herself. Laura explains that when someone reads one of the books from The Room Of Enchanted Pages, the world alters to match that of the book. The only way to save Sage is to claim her Treasure, (Her Pumpkin Crown), and end the story, knowing it's the only way to save Sage, the girls agree.
