14 Jazmin’s Brian did decide he didn’t want to meet at the clinic. He’d had enough of that place, and he wanted to meet someplace neutral, but not anywhere near Brian’s apartment. He remembered there was a coffee shop, some old chain that was teetering on the edge of bankruptcy, but he thought that they still cooked things, and if he was going to have a meeting with staff, he was going to enjoy the meal. Perhaps it would be a good distraction. When Brian went to sleep, he only felt a little uneasy about the meeting. It was odd, but somehow it gave him a little thrill. Something different. Something new. Something that he hadn’t ever imagined happening. It made him feel good, as if life wasn’t bleak and hopeless. He slept well but had odd dreams of weird things that didn’t make sense.
