Chapter 7.

227 Words
As soon as she heard the door open and shut, Skylar came up from the pool, fully naked. Nick stopped mid-step at the threshold and silently stared at her. Not a muscle moved in that immobile face. Skylar stared back. And rose higher so he could see her breasts. “Do you need anything?” “Not really, Skylar.” Then he flashed her a white, dazzling grin. “Have fun,” he said and turned on his heels. Skylar gritted her teeth in frustration. Naked, she sat on a step. It hadn't worked. It hadn't worked. It HADN'T work. So what would, she asked herself? That bastard. She groaned almost in tears as desire pulled into her lower region. She'd planned her swim to coincide with his everyday evening swim and had thought that the sight of her naked would have had him running to her with just one glance. Failed. Failed. That bloody bastard. What else could she do, short of going on her knees and begging? She shuddered at the image. Nope. Not that. Anything but that. Could she drug him? Tie him down and have her way with him? Stupid. That couldn't in any way work. He was stronger even than her imagination. Then a thought occurred to her. She got out of the pool, picked up her towel, and left the room.
