(THIRD PERSON’S POV)
Liam groaned in a low tone. He did not want Nancy to hear him as he pretended to be listening to her as she spoke of the snake she thought she saw inside.
Liam exhausted from the day’s work and still in a bad mood about his whole family forgetting his birthday wanted more than anything to take himself up to the room and throw himself on the bed and wait for the day to officially end.
His workers had given him a cake and done a five minute celebration but that was all he got.
“Mr Rodriguez.” Nancy said and her face now came in to view for Liam who had been buried deep in his thoughts.
"Nancy," he sighed, peering past her into the dimly lit hallway. "There are no snakes now in this neighborhood. You probably saw a stray cat or something."
