(MARILYN’S POV)
I stood frozen on the spot at the scene before me. I dropped properly to my knees with shaky hands reaching for my belongings which were now destroyed in water. I felt my heart splitting in to two or was it my head?
Someone came in quickly from behind me but I did not turn. I was just absorbed by the sight of memories with my late father destroyed before my very own eyes.
“Lyn?” Mum’s voice came from behind me.
But I did not turn. I stayed still feeling my hands tremble….. or was it my whole body?
Mum came closer and then she gasped and crouched beside me.
“Oh my God! Oh my God! What happened?” She asked in shock as she began to sort through the things gently.
