(MARILYN’S POV) Last I checked, Louis was not here. I had peeped from my window even before I came down and his car was not in the driveway. Of course it was dumb of me, to assume that he would be absent from dinner in his own home! It’s not like I don’t want to see him, it is not like I want to see him either. It’s just that the uncertainty of my emotions made it hard to imagine meeting with him. So when I burst in to the kitchen, I did not glance around the room at first.
