(MARILYN’S POV)
“Um… Earth to Marilyn.” Mia said snapping her fingers in front of my face. I turned to her with a start and then offered her a guilty smile.
“Was I gone for up to a minute this time?” I asked her
“Almost 2 minutes.” She said.
I groaned. “I’m so sorry Mia. I promise that it is not like you are boring me or anything. I’m just lost in my thoughts. I am very sorry.” I apologized again.
Mia smiled at me and gave my hand a tight Squeeze. We were both riding home at the back of the private car that has been sent to bring me home.
Mia wanted to stop by and help her mother for work and I was going home after a long day in school.
