(MARILYN'S POV)
"Come on, You don't have to wear such a grumpy face. You're ruining how pretty you look." Mum said giving me a scolding face. But even that did not take of the scowl I had on my face.
Mum was doing my hair into a braid crown because she knew that I would have not made any effort. I had not even put on any make up. I had simple mascara and lip gloss on with my face slightly powdered.
Mum was not happy about it until I put on the dress for the night. A pretty satin dress that held on to my body not too tightly but well enough to accentuate my petite frame.
"Just look at you." She said to me with a gasp. Her eyes got teary then as she cupped my chin and placed a kiss on my cheeks. I truly smiled briefly and then I went back to wearing my frown.
