Louis steadied me gently before he let me go and immediately he let me go and I felt the heavy absence as his hold left me with the memory of our faces inches apart from each other just a few moment ago. I could still feel my heart beating fast and I tried my best to control the way that I was breathing.
I now brushed by clothes and found the courage to raise my head up to bring my gaze to meet that of Mia’s. She was the one who had stepped in to the kitchen and I was relieved that it was not mum or Liam but then I was not sure of how I felt about Mia walking in. And I felt very embarrassed but so did Mia with the way she looked, Her face was red in embarrassment. Louis looked at her too and then at me before he walked out of the kitchen.
