EPISODE 14- CAUGHT ON CAMERA

The last 1 week at the Malhotra house had been hell for Anaya.

After that big fight, Anaya had packed one bag and gone to her parents' house in Lucknow.

She hadn’t called. She hadn’t cried in front of anyone. She just went silent.

Rohan didn’t stop her.

He was angry. Hurt. And confused.

His mother, Mrs. Malhotra, kept saying - _"Dekha? Yehi hoti hain middle class ladkiyan. Thodi si baat par ghar chhod kar chali jati hain."_

Rohan heard it all. But said nothing.

*SCENE 1: OFFICE CAFE - SNEHA'S ENTRY*

Sneha had been waiting for this moment since college.

When she heard from Rohan’s PA that he was sitting alone in the office cafe for 3 days straight, she knew it was time.

She walked in wearing a white co-ord set. Perfect hair. Perfect smile.

*Sneha*: "Rohan? You look tired."

Rohan looked up from his cold coffee.

*Rohan*: "Sneha? What are you doing here?"

*Sneha*: "I heard about you and Anaya. I told you na, middle class girls are like this only. One fight and they run to their maayka."

Rohan sighed.

*Rohan*: "Maybe you were right. Maybe I shouldn’t have married her."

Sneha’s eyes lit up.

*Sneha*: "Then what are you waiting for? Send her divorce papers. And marry me. I’ve loved you since college Rohan. I’ll take care of you. I’ll take care of this house. What do you say? Good idea, right?"

Rohan was quiet for a long time. Then he nodded.

*Rohan*: "You’re right. I’ll send her the papers tomorrow. After that... we can get married."

Sneha left the cafe on cloud nine.

His parents were sitting in the hall.

Rohan went straight to his room. He opened his laptop.

2 months ago, after some cash went missing from the house, he had installed hidden cameras in the living room. For the staff.

He started scrolling the footage from the day of the fight.

And there it was.

Sneha had come that afternoon. "To discuss a project".

On camera she was telling Rohan - _"Anaya is still in touch with her ex. My friend saw her."_

On call later - _"Rohan, you deserve someone from our class. Not her."_

All lies.

Rohan’s hands started shaking.

He immediately called Anaya.

*Rohan*: "Anaya... please come home once. Just once. I need to show you something. I was wrong."

Anaya, after a long silence, said:

*Anaya*: "Theek hai. Kal aaungi. Last time."

*SCENE 3: THE CONFRONTATION*

Next day, 12 PM. Malhotra Mansion.

Sneha walked in with a lawyer’s card in her hand.

*Sneha*: "Rohan, I’ve arranged everything. The divorce papers will be sent today."

Rohan turned around.

*Rohan*: "Anaya. Come here."

The guest room door opened.

Anaya walked out. In a simple suit. No jewelry. Eyes swollen but back straight.

Sneha dropped the card.

*Sneha*: "Anaya?? What is she doing here??"

*Anaya*: "This is my home Sneha."

*Sneha*: "Rohan! You said you’d divorce her! You said you’d marry me! Then what is this??"

Rohan held Anaya’s hand.

*Rohan*: "Sneha, I love Anaya. And now we know the truth. You were the one creating problems between us."

Anaya looked straight at Sneha.

*Anaya*: "I thought you were my friend Sneha. I didn’t know you had so much pride in your money and looks. You only became friends with me for your own benefit.

Now please... leave our lives."

*Rohan*: "I thought you were a good person too. But I was wrong. I don’t love you Sneha. And I want to be happy in my marriage. This is the last time I’m telling you."

Sneha was furious.

*Sneha*: "I told you! I love you! Whatever I want, I take it! If I can’t have it, no one can! That’s who I am!

But how did you find out??"

Rohan played the CCTV footage on the big TV.

Sneha’s lies. Sneha’s manipulation. Everything recorded.

*Rohan*: "We found out the day we fought. The house has cameras. We saw the full video. That’s why we did this drama."

*Sneha*: "Cameras?? But I didn’t see any cameras!"

*Anaya*: "That’s why they were hidden. Because before breaking a relationship, you need to know the truth."

Sneha broke down. All her arrogance was gone.

*Sneha*: "I’m sorry. I only became friends with you for selfish reasons. You both broke my pride today. I promise I will never come between your married life again."

She left. And never came back.

Mrs. Malhotra and Mr. Malhotra came out.

*Mrs. Malhotra*: "Anaya beta... maaf kar do. We were wrong about you."

That night, Rohan and Anaya sat on the terrace. No fight. No anger. Just talk.

*Rohan*: "I’m sorry I doubted you."

*Anaya*: "I’m sorry I left without talking."

They both smiled. For the first time in weeks.

Sneha focused on her career.

Rohan and Anaya renewed their marriage in a small puja at home.

The house that once called Anaya "unwanted"...

Now called her "bahu".
