"Come here,sweetheart. " Alexa spread her hands wide and Jade rushed into her arms.
"It's been so long since you came to pick us up yourself, mum." Jace noticed almost immediately and Alexandra's frowned lightly as she thinned her eyes at him cutely.
"What do you mean by that?" She asked in a parrot's voice and Jade giggled.
"Where's Dad? Is he busy today?" Jace went straight to the point.
"What?!" Alexandra gasped, "so you don't like the fact that I came to pick you up today?" She asked.
"Well, dad gets us a lot of things when he comes to pick us up." Jace shrugged.
"He gets us sweets."
"Too much is sweets isn't good for kids. That is why I'm going to get you bitter lemon today." She said seriously and Jade's face immediately changed as horror washed over her face.
