I rushed into the house right after parking the car in the garage. The Omegas at the main door opened it for me. Stepping into the house, I stopped and turned to one of them.
“Is Mum home?”
She'd gone out earlier in the day to meet with the professional planners of her mating ceremony with Alpha Vicenzo. She hadn't returned before we left for the bonfire, that's why I went to the square with her car because she'd gone out with one of Alpha Vicenzo's.
“No, Miss Katniss. She's not home yet.” The Omega replied, bowing respectfully.
Knowing she wasn't home gave me a huge sense of relief.
“Uh, what about Uncle Vicenzo?”
He'd gone to visit one of the neighboring packs in the afternoon too, right after Mum left.
