Unlocking powers

Falling. That’s what I am feeling. I still can’t move. It’s not dark anymore. I see a rainbow of colors like a musicians strumming the strings of a guitar I touched each color with my fingertips absorbing the magic of the colors into my skin through my fingertips. Making its way to the hourglass mark on my arm. A bright light admits from the hourglass the same sensation from before burns against the mark and again I’m thrown into darkness. Trying to make sense of why this is happening and why it’s taking so long. My wolf whispered “just wait your almost completed the transformation,your powers are almost completed transferring into my soul as well”. It feels like my body is breaking and being transported and put backwards into my flesh. Then, the most beautiful voice sounds out next to me “just wait, the powers you will receive are the most precious ones use them well, beware the most important people will try to obtain what you have, make sure you treasure your mates as well they will be an important part of your journey and future.”

“I have so many questions about my powers, how to use them?, you said MATES not mate does that mean I’ll have more than one, what about the hourglass? what does that mean is it like a way to unlock something?, the questions were rolling out of me I remember that I am speaking to the moon goddess! “Oh, I beg my pardon, Mrs. Moon goddess, your highness honor, I fumble on what title to use for her. A gentle giggle that sounds like a soft harp cord, she reply’s “Call me, Selene my love, you will have 6 powers they all interact with the others, your mother will help, and you will find your mates at the will of fates, I cannot share much on that, yes, the hourglass will come at the most important moment of your life, also it’s a direct line to your dream travels. You will have to journey through the dreams to find your divine duty and save the kingdom and supernatural powers that exist.”

“The book has shown you people that travelled before you and that have failed, you will travel the seven level of hades to find the hourglass and bring it back, to a cave their your ancestors will gift you highly, at that time I will visit again, this is all the time I am allowed to have with you, remember the rogue king will stop at nothing to capture you, beware he walks your dreams.” She kisses my forehead and vanishes into a shimmering powder of purple pinkish glitter and I’m met with a stinging feeling where her kiss lingers.

The book is now idle beside me, meaning that the transformation has been completed. Quickly, I move towards the vanity in my room looking in the mirror I see on my forehead a mark of an open book that has the orbital system coming out of it. In a state of shock and awe of the color, of the mark. It looks like crushed pearl. A knock at my door jumped me back into reality, “Hello, it’s me open up I know you’re in there, it’s Aponie.” Walking over to the door I open it swiftly, standing there is aponie and my mom arms full of snacks and take out food, standing aside to let them in, “are you coming in?”. They stand there a second longer before they rush in and drop the take out and snacks and drinks on the table, turning to grab the remote on the table to drop the tv from the secret compartment that it is held in. Aponie is the first to break the silence “ what is that on your head?”, my mother speaks for me “ she met with the moon goddess and claimed her powers!” “Tell us what did she say about your powers how do you find them what will happen!” Then Aponie started to ask about mates and being the best second in command and going on missions. Then I hear a comment about finding her mate but her mouth hasn’t moved. I move closer listening to what she’s saying about how big and strong her mate will be and planning details of their future wedding and how many pups they will have, how she hopes they can fight battles and go on missions together and he better be smart and not a nerdy guy. I look over to my mother and hear her saying something about her and dad having time together in the bathroom this morning! “Ewww, mom I don’t want to know about your personal relationship with dad!” And Aponie “you will find your mate in time.” I give them a basic explanation of what happened once I came back to my room and visit with the moon goddess, they both listen with interest. My mom is the first to speak once I’m done speaking saying “ I figured out the first power, you can listen to our thoughts! That’s how you knew about private matters between the two of us we have to tell your father!” I agreed we have to find out what my other powers could be and what the mark on my forehead means. I whisper to wynter “we should check the library after lunch and see what we can find and then go speak to uncle about our next mission.”

Once we settle into silence and eat our takeaway plates and watch the new movie “The beast of jobs”, I am on my way to the library when I hear my dads voice “ how many were attacked, how many fatalities, what who lead the battle, Andrew is he okay?” “HE WHAT!” Growled my father. “His mother agreed with this?!?” “My daughter is also unmated and unmarried, we are holding a ball this weekend in honor of her birthday!” Walking closer to the door of his office to hear more information about what was happening “Yes, invitations have been sent out to everyone, including your pack, Yes I will sign the agreement that night after the party!” Signaling the end of their conversation, before I knock I tapped my foot a small sign saying that I’m here, the door opens “ hey baby girl, what are you doing out here, why didn’t you knock?” Stepping in the room taking in the tired look in my dads eyes, “ I didn’t want to interrupt your work call I know your busy schedule, I just wanted to come over and let you know about my visit with the goddess Selene and my powers.”
