Riley and I finished breakfast and did the dishes when I turned to look at her. I smiled as I leaned against the counter.
“Since neither one of us wants to talk about our shitty nights, do you instead want to learn how to ride?” I asked. Riley’s eyes lit up as she looked into mine.
“Really?” She asked as her voice pitched up an octave. I nodded. She suddenly bolted, running off towards the stairs to possibly get changed. I laughed as I walked to the front door and grabbed our jackets before stuffing my feet into my thick work boots and waited by the side door in the living room. I heard her run down the stairs and round the corner to the living room. The smile across her face was large as she ran up to me, grinning widely.
