I woke up with a terrible headache but managed to take a bath and dress up for school. I was on my way down stairs when I saw princess and Nathan staring at each other with princess calling him mate. My heart pounded like it's about to be ripped out of my chest. Despite my prayers she still turned out to be his mate how unlucky I am. Devil was in pain because he was really searching for our mate in Princess but now we lost her. I stormed into my room banging the door as i pace up and down angrily, frustrated and in pains. After spending the morning thinking, I finally came to the conclusion that this is the right time to leave. Few days ago Carlson told me it's time but I decided to push it ahead cuz I was hoping princess could be my mate but since things didn't go how I wished and prayed, I decided it is the best time to leave and use it as an opportunity to heal.

"'""Before leaving, I had left a little note for dad and mom so they won't worry about me and I hoped Nathan will accept her wishing them the best. I got to where I was supposed to go and was welcomed by Carlson and the rest of the pack members.

"Welcome home Buddy Carlson greeted as we gave each other a bro hug.

"Thanks man so how has everything been holding up here I asked.

"Just as you wanted it and your are due for tomorrow night. Do not worry all preparations are set.

"Hope you haven't forgotten I asked.

"Of course I haven't so rest assured it's very low profile no one will ever suspect.

"Thanks bro. Thanks for standing by me and in for me all these while I thanked him.

"No issues buddy. Carl I do not know if I'm doing the right thing telling you this but it's good you know he stated.

"Come on what is it I asked impatiently.

"Kate was rejected by Nathan

"What... I panicked standing up from where i was sitting.

"And she has been missing for two days now he informed me.

"Damn you Carly why are you just informing me I asked furiously. What if she has fallen into the wrong hands because I know during rejection, both the wolf and the human body becomes very weak.

"I'm sorry i got the news just this evening he replied.

"I need to go to her now I told him.

"Dude I know you love her but you can't go to her. Do not worry I already sent out a search party. We can't afford to miss or postpone it again he told me.

"That punk dare reject her is he crazy. ...Who on earth will reject such a girl huh?

Even though we were very little then but I felt something strange and strong for her that moment, so ever since then I've always been by her to guide love and protect her but I could never have thought she will turn out to be Nathan's mate i told him sadly.

"I know but I thought it was just a childhood crush and it will go away with time he replied.

"Sorry to disappoint you Carly cuz that crush turned into love. I love her to a point where I do not mind doing those things I don't like doing as long as it will make her happy I stated.

"But still you can't go to her now please and I promise we will find her.

"She has been fine and has been training very hard too. She said she wants to be a strong and brave warrior before you return and I can confirm it with you that she is an excellent fighter Carly stated.

"That's good. She has always wanted to be a warrior so I'm glad she achieved it.

"Carly filled me in on everything that has been happening over here this past years and I'm more than impressed with his work. I wasn't wrong making him my best friend and my right hand man. We were still having a chat when Nora came in running and before I know it, she is hugging me.

"Carl you are back she said excitedly still hugging me.

"Hmm I am. How have you been Nora I asked breaking the hug.

"I'm good just missed you a lot. Are you finally staying this time around she asked with hopes filled eyes.

"For awhile but I will still leave i told her.

"Ooh Ummmmmm. ......Can I come with you this time Carl Nora asked.

"I'm sorry Nora but it's not a good idea I told her flatly.

"But..... I stood up cutting her short.

"There is no buts Nora. I have things to concentrate on that do not need distraction and again i need to find my mate too. I do not want anything getting in the way of that i firmly told her.

"Ooh okay she answered sadly.

"If you don't mind I will take my leave now. It was nice seeing you again Nora goodnight.

I'm in my room on my bed thinking about Kate. I do not know if she is fine where ever she is and if she will forgive me for leaving the way I did. I know Nora has a thing for me reason I'm giving her a cold shoulder because I do not want her getting any hopes that I'm interested in her.

"""""The long awaited event went well without any obstructions. I asked Carly about Kathleen if she has been found and I was told yes but she is staying at a friends place and that friend is no other than Mike. I was happy she is safe but wasn't happy she is with that guy but nevertheless for now I will let him enjoy her company while it last.

FOUR MONTHS LATER

It's been four months since I left home and I been really busy so couldn't go back home earlier as I expected. I had all tabs on her and I swear my mood has gone from bad to worst ever since I learnt her closeness with Mike has become stronger to the extend she spends nights at his place. Once in a while I will call mom and dad to know how they are faring but I never called her because I'm scared yes that's the truth. I'm very brave and all that but when it comes to her I become a baby like all my brave side just vanishes. I will see her soon cuz Carly and I are returning in two days time. I do not know how I will face her and I do not know if she can ever forgive me because I left her when she needed me the most. When i heard she got rejected, I was both happy and sad. Happy because if everything goes well, she can make me her chosen mate and sad because it hurt her and when I get back i will deal with Nathan Oops Alpha Nathan for hurting her.

""Throughout my stay here Nora has countless times try to get under my skin but I made sure it doesn't work because I do not have any feelings for her apart from a friend relationship. I was in my room preparing to hang out with Carly and some of our pack members when Nora badged into my room.

"What are you doing in asked a little pissed.

"But you could have at least knock and wait for a reply I told her coldly.

"But i love you Carl. I've always loved you. She says advancing towards as she tries to seduce me with her touches but I held her hand firmly.

"For the sake of our friendship Nora, I will let it slide but if next time you do this again then i will forget we were ever friends understood? I growled throwing away the hand I caught. She immediately submitted and is suprised because I just commanded her.

""""Finally I'm back guys. Yes I'm standing right outside the mansion with Carlson and three other trusted aids of mine Tom, Valerie and John. We got in and was welcomed by mom and dad warmly of course not forgetting that my aural and status has changed so Dad and mom wanted to bow but I stopped them. My parents and my future Queen Kathleen shall not and never bow to me.

"You all are welcome to the family. Your rooms are all ready so after lunch, the maids will show you to your various rooms and as for you Carl and Carly, Your rooms are the same way you left them with the maids just keeping it clean mom informed us.

'""""We all headed to the dinning and had dinner. We sat at dinner before Nathan and the werewolve she choosed over Kate came and sat down.

"Nathan your brother is finally home and he brought company. Valerie, John, Tom these is your now Alpha my son Nathan and his Luna Lillian father introduced as they bowed in acknowledgement except Carlly and I because we have status higher than him.

"You all are welcome to our house Nathan welcome them but I couldn't help but feel like riping out his throat.

After dinner, Carlson and the rest went to fresh up while Nat left with his girl to their room but I stayed behind because I wanted to have a little chat with mom and dad. We walked into dad's study.

"Mom....Will she ever forgive me i went straight to the point.

"Carl Kate has changed a lot since you left. She is hardly at home and when she is at home, she doesn't eat with us anymore and always in her room so I can't really say mom replied sighing lazily.

"Mike has been of great help to her so she spend most of her time with him and at his place son dad added.

"I see that's all I could say. hearing her spending more time with him didn't go well with me but I didn't make a fuss about it because at least it made her happy.

"Son how did everything go dad asked.

"Everything went on well dad and I'm still a mystery to them I replied confidently.

"That's good. Now concentrate on searching for your mate dad added.

"Mom, Dad I need your permission to pursue Kathleen I told them and I could see the shock in dad's eyes but mom was thrilled by what I said.

"Carl your mate can't be randomly chosen considering the prophecy Said dad.

"Talking about that. Why did you allow Nathan reject his chosen mate i asked twisting my eyebrows.

"Carl Nathan mate is prophesied to be strong and a warrior but you know Kathleen is soft and delicate she can't stand by Nathan as his Luna that is why we allowed him marry Lilian dad informed me which got me a little pissed.

"How do you know she can't and is not fit to be the Luna dad I asked coldly.

"Kathleen has never trained nor even shifted since she turned 18 Carl. My girl is delicate but do not worry I will make sure I find someone suitable for her to marry dad stated I was already angry but I had to control it because I could not snap or growl at my dad.

"Carl she can not be your mate for the prophesy fore told your mate will be chosen by the goddess. You have to be with your destined mate Carl dad whispered yelled.

My response was a hard punch on his face which landed him on the ground and another on his stomach. He crunched his body due to the pain and I felt a little relief seeing him in pain.

"Carl I'm your Alpha and you have to respect and yield to me. How dare you hit your Alpha he yelled calling the guards telling them to seize me. They rushed to the scene and was about abiding to his commands when father walked in.

"Stop right there Father's voice thunder in the garden.

"Dad I'm now the Alpha making your order inferior to mine. Sieze him Nathan commanded again and the guard were about to.

"Bow I growled startling them as the looked shocked and immediately obeyed my command. Nathan was more shock because he knew what it means and who I am now.

"My king they guards shouted in sync as they all bow in respect.

"Yes Alpha Nathan I'm your Alpha king and I will not tolerate any form of power mismanagement. I will let it go today but the next time it happens, I will act accordingly i firmly stated before leaving.

The. Next day I woke up and prepared for school. I was happy and anxious at the same time because I will meet Kate after four months so I'm scared. Carly and I got to school earlier because Carly is an on time freak. As for Tom, John and Valerie, they will join in tomorrow. As we walked down the school corridor, people kept whispering and looking at us and though I could hear their whispers, it Didn't bother me because I do not care.

I feel like I've not seen her in ages and what's with this new dressing code? She looks super gorgeous and her outfit is perfect giving her a different vibe like I know I've seen her in gowns but this look is absolutely different and amazing. All eyes on her because she has never dressed this way to school more like a lot of people didn't know she is this gorgeous but when I saw Mike almost wearing a to match with her, i became pissed. She broke the stare when Mike found a seat for them but throughout the class i didn't take my eyes off her and I didn't fail to notice her extremely closeness to Mike Which makes me feel uncomfortable very uncomfortable.

"Hey why I do feel she has become more gorgeous during your absence Carlson whispers.

"She gets more gorgeous by the day Carly I told him still not tearing my eyes away from her.

"But the Mike guy is equally an eye candy so mate it won't be easy Carly added.

"Are you saying he is more good looking and more capable than I am I asked looking at him with a raised eyebrow

"Of course not but he won't be an easy opponent he hurriedly clarified.

"My focus is to get her to forgive me first before I can worry about the Mike guy I told him.

It was lunch time so we were going to the cafeteria when we saw Kate and Mike heading to the roof top with their lunch. Carlson decided to say hi.

"It's been ages carlly welcome back she greeted smiling.

"Mike meet Carlson a family friend and Carlson this is Mike my good friend she introduced them.

"Nice meeting you man. they exchange pleasantries but all my focus was on her pleading with my eyes but she didn't yield

"Once again welcome home Carlly Mike and I are going to have our lunch so I will see around yea....She says excusing themselves.

"Sure see around lil mama Carl replied while I just stood there still staring at her leaving with Mike.

"Why don't you follow and have a chat with her Carlson suggested so I bought the idea and went after her but I hidded myself when I heard them talking. After listening to all their conversation, I realised my actions has deeply hurt her and now she hates me. I left going back to class and throughout the class till school got over, i didn't see her nor Mike so I knew he has taken her away which got me agitated. Carly and I were heading home when I told him to drop me and we will meet at home.

"This won't help you mate Carly told me.

"She hates me Carly she does i told him.

"But I still can't understand why you didn't reply any of her texts or calls he spoke.

"I didn't just know what to tell her if i called her I replied.

"You are a great leader with a firm decision but when it comes to Kate you become a chicken hearted boy he told me smiling.

He drops and drives off. I was wondering off in the woods when devil became agitated and I smelled a lemon minty scent so we followed it. I knew I have found my mate but then again does that mean I will have to give up on Kate but let me see who she is first. I followed it to a lake where a girl stood staring into the lake I swear my heart was banging against my chest as if it will soon burst out. "What happened to talk it out huh what happened to that? You just left without a care and you even called mom and dad but never called me. Do you know how I was when you left of course no so please just stop already by the way I've learnt to live without she snap.

"How dare you say that about me you Jerk I hate you stay away from me she cries out and ran away. Damn what have I done I immediately ran after her she is fast but I still caught up with her.

I held her as she kept struggling then i shut her up with a kiss. Yes I aggressively kissed her as she struggled to push me but it didn't work then she succumb to the kiss and reciprocated it. It was aggressive then later became passionate. "I've missed you missed everything about you princess. Missed the way you look at me , missed your touches you laughter and most especially your lips I pointed out inbetween the kiss. We broke the kiss catching our breath while staring at each other

"Did you feel that.....nothing changed princess nothing.

"Tell me why do you want to lead me on why Carl?

"I'm not leading you on I replied sincerely.

"What is it you feel towards me she asked.

I was about responding to her question when someone called my name and that someone is none other than Nora. What the hell is she doing here I asked myself.

"Nora what are you doing here and how did you find me I asked flatly.

"Carl i got transferred so I now school here she replied.

"And where do you live I asked.

"I live with my cousin. So we will be seeing each other often at school she said excitedly before her gaze drifted to Kate.

"Mike is waiting for me see you around Kate said.

"Princess we aren't done wait for me tonight please I pleaded.

"Sorry having a movie night at Mike's she told me and left.

I clenched my fist thinking of the attention my mate is giving another man. Why don't we tell her she is our mate i asked devil. Don't tell her yet let her figure it out Carl. Don't worry she doesn't love Mike it's us she loves Devil reassured me.

"Who is she Nora asked.

"No one you should concern yourself with i replied coldly.

"Okay. Wanna go for a run she asked.

"Nora before you came we were in the middle of something important maybe next time I told her and walked away.

The next day came and Yes Kate didn't sleep at home and truth is I do not know for how long I will let this go on. For crying out loud she is my mate the love of my life and how can she be so comfortable sleeping at Mike's house like who does that jezzz. School was okay but I couldn't breath with Nora following me up and down like a fly goodness can't this girl get the fact that I can't love her? Today we all came to shcool and when I say we I mean all five of us. we sat at the lawn chatting with Nora in our midst of course when I saw Mike and Kate in the school garden chasing after each other. She took something I think so Mike began chasing her.

"Awwww they both make an excellent couple some girls not far from us said.

"I never knew she was this gorgeous. so all this time she had intentionally kept her beauty hidden girl A spoke.

"I was at her birthday party that's where I knew she is dead gorgeous girl B stated.

"And here I was thinking Megan is the most beautiful on campus girl C added.

"Megan can't stand a chance against her and frankly speaking she is the most beautiful on campus Girl A chirped in.

"I agree with you on that and I think she needs to be Crown the schools beauty this year but girls I thought she fitted better with Carl Girl B spoke.

"No she perfect with Mike just look at them besides Carl is more like a brother to her cuz I heard she grew up in his family.

I can't believe they are shipping my mate with some random werewolve what the nerve.

"Carl who is she John asked referring to Kathleen.

"And what's with the shipping Valerie asked too.

"She is indeed gorgeous Tom says dreamily.

"You guys better take your eyes off her for she is off limits Carly warned.

"woo woo easy mate its just a compliment Tom defended.

"See you guys at home i told them before walking out.

I was burning with rage and this rubbish closeness with Mike has to come to an end even if it means using my king power on her she most obey.
