Alessia's POV
I drop my eyes to the document and then back at him.
"Don't tell me you think I'll run off with your money and not get the job done." I joke but it doesn't seem to land as such.
"I'm just making sure I don't waste my money. Being bound to a contract will make you take this seriously."
"Oh..." I bite my lips, suddenly nervous.
"I hope you understand me, Miss Lopez." He said. "This is a business arrangement. I'm paying you a significant amount of money to perform a specific role. This contract protects both of us."
That made sense. Unfortunately, it also sounded terrifying.
