Chapter 12: She is in danger

Selene returns home to relax from a long tiring day. She pulls back her comforter and sleeps. Elena comes to her mom and becomes her sleep companion.

After half an hour, Selene wakes up and watches Elena in deep sleep. She slowly touches her crystal bracelet and reach the parallel world.

Selene goes to the King's palace to inform Hudson about the m*********r case. Hudson listens to Selene's story and says if it's a woman, someone is helping her to travel the parallel world.

Selene says...Crystals are used to travel both worlds. The witches passed the crystals to the royal blood. But somehow I luckily managed to get one. You are the true heir of the King... That's the reason you have the crystal bracelet. Only the royal bloods know to cross the worlds.

Tae Won suddenly enters the King's room. She looks panicked and informs King that one crystal bracelet is missing from the treasure. Now, the King, Selene and Tae won know the value of it.

Hudson tells his grandma to tighten the security of the palace. He says... One of our palace workers has traded the crystal bracelet to some outsider.

Hudson feels that's the reason the killer is travelling both worlds without getting caught.

Selene and Hudson take a walk in the woods discussing the possibilities of the murder. A bullet fires aiming at Selene, seeing it Hudson drags Selene towards her. Their heartbeats rapidly as they get closer to each other. Her hair falls on Hudson's shoulder, his hands cover her hips. Blood drips from her left hand.

Hudson covers the blood with his fingers. He sees the tree scribbled with

" I am watching you." He tightens the security for Selene and sends a bodyguard to protect her from the upcoming danger.

Hudson instructs Tae Won to keep an eye on the palace workers. He checks on Selene as he covers her wounds. Hudson returns to his world with Selene.

Selene checks the male mutual lists of those friends and finds Darren in the list. She gets to know someone is working on behalf of Darren. It was someone close to him who couldn't bear the loss of Darren.

Selene gets the clue but not the exact purpose of the murder.

She thinks...Why would someone kill 30 people?.....just because of a single death...

Selene keeps the information confidential. Hudson could find the culprit from the palace workers. A lady palace worker gave the crystal bracelet to Sean. The security footage of the palace is recorded with Sean's face.

Hudson shows the recordings to Selene. She gets stunned to see it. She takes it as proof. The lady palace worker is asked why she did such a work...?

Lady: I'm sorry, I wanted to save my son, that person warned me to steal the crystal or he would kill my son.

Selene learns about it from Hudson. Now Selene can't arrest Sean from this world. Hudson takes Sean to the parallel world. Sean is enquired about the crystal bracelet. He says... I stole the bracelet because I was told.

Selene: How did you know about the parallel world?

Sean: Kane once took to me here, so I got to know. The next time I borrowed his bracelet to come here.

Selene (wonders)... What....???

Sean: Kane is the cousin of Hudson and they belong to the royal blood, so he has one crystal bracelet...

Selene: Ah..well...ok... Then who told you to steal the crystal bracelet from the palace?

Sean: It was...Kia...

Selene: But why....?

Sean: She wanted to take revenge for her loss.

Selene: (shocked)...

Selene says...So it was Kia to do the m*********r and you helped her in it..?

Sean: Yes.....

Selene and Hudson take Sean to their world. Selene arrests Kia for the case of m*********r.

Kia at enquiry~

Selene: I can't believe you murdered 30 people... But still, we have evidence... Deep down I still believe you didn't do.

Kia cries....

Selene: But why did you killed 30 innocent people..?

Kia: They were not innocent, they were the reason for Darren's death...

Selene. ...What...???

Kia...yes...

The flashback of College days ~

Kia says...

Darren wanted to learn MBA to have a career change. Those 30 kids studied with him. They were very rich and used to rag Darren always. Sometimes they drop water on his head, other times they say...You are not our standards...why wasting time studying here...?

That was the time when Darren decided to become rich by any means. So he joined the underground Don and became one.

After Darren's death. I learnt about Darren... So first I decided to get Sean's help to kill them and then I targeted you at the woods. But I couldn't kill you...

Kia.....cries....

Selene: But why did you attempt to kill me?

Kia: Because of you Darren was shot dead. If Kane wouldn't have stolen the money from Darren. He would have been alive.

Selene: But Darren has committed crimes, so he was shot to death.

Kia.Yes...I know.

Selene feels sad hearing the story... Tears veil her eyes...

She arrests Sean and Kia for the m*********r and closes the case. Selene thanks Hudson for helping her throughout the case.

Selene talks with Kane about the m*********r and asks him to keep a secret of the parallel world from others to avoid such mass murders.

Selene visits Kia in jail to talk about her kids. Kia tells...I have joined my kids in boarding school, so take care of them during vacations. I have told them I am going to travel abroad for business for few years.

Kia holds Selene's hand, Please take care of them. Selene says...I will for sure, you relax... Don't worry about them.

Selene takes Kane to boarding school to visit the kids. Kane was closer to those kids. So they run towards Kane saying..."Uncle...

Kane hugs them and surprises them with chocolates, wafers, biscuits, cool drinks and gifts.

Selene spends her evening time with the kids asking about their stay at a hostel and how's things are moving.

They say.. they miss mom...Selene says...Don't worry...I talked with her... I will come every week to see you both.
