Chapter 2 : Halycon days at Gaylon School

Selene's P.O.V

Selene readies for her first day in Gaylon School. She brushes her hair, after a hot shower and pairs up with a high ponytail. Selene applies a beige compact, red lipstick and a volumness mascara to thicken her eyelashes.

Selene wears a high-waisted white denim paired with a cantaloupe slit kurta to look lively with invigorating light orange colour.

Inspired by the luscious melon, this zesty hue on the softer side remains juicy and vibrant. This colour has gained popularity for adding fresh energy to the wearer.

On June 1st, Gaylon School organises a trip to a resort for reviving the teacher's energy and make them cheer up.

Selene gets an auto-rickshaw from her gate to reach the Gaylon School.

Selene asks: Bhaiya....can we go to Gaylon School..?

Auto driver replies...Yes mam!!!

While she travels in a rickshaw, gentle breeze leaves few strands of hair to fall on her cheeks. When stepping to School, she finds her colleagues had already arrived at the venue.

Selene mingles with some colleagues as it is her first day at School. Liandra and Selene get well together on day one.

Liandra - Hi.... good morning.

Selene - Good morning...I am Selene and your name..?

Liandra - I'm Liandra. Are you the new teacher??

Selene replies...Yea...!!!

Selene and Liandra talk about the dress code of the school, their personal choices and whereabouts.

The vibes of Selene and Liandra matches well as both belong to South India.

Liandra is a decade elder than Selene and behaves responsibly. Selene and Liandras' natives are the neighbouring states, that made it easy to get along.

The teacher's get bus to reach the Enchanted Isle Resort. Selene and Liandra occupy the two-seater in bus.

Feana, Eva and Christy occupy the three-seaters beside Selene's seat.

The bus reach the resort within an hour.

The day is not hot nor gloomy, but the rays of sunshine glare at Selene's face.

The teachers step out of the bus. Tickets gets reserved by Hudson, who serves as the highest authority in Gaylon School. The teachers are then left to explore the resort.

Liandra and Selene have a walk together and stay under a tree. Air soothes the energy levels and oxygen in their bloodstream.

Liandra: I am gonna stay here, I can't step into the water.

Selene: Why mam???....

Liandra: I get allergies when exposed to chlorinated water.

Feana, Eva and Christy change into a T-shirt and half shorts to dive into the water. They ask Selene to join them.

Selene wears a blue linen printed kurta embedded by golden linings pairing up with black leggings.

Selene, Feana, Eva and Christy use sunscreen on the exposed body parts before jumping into the pool.

They have fun in the pool by holding hands and bouncing when the waves seep in. Besides, enjoying the pool, they enter the rain disco to dance along the music beat when the shower hit their heads.

Teachers form a line on the pool to click photos. Some teachers float in the water, others do water-sliding.

Selene in pool remembers Kane and happy moments hits back sending chills to her spine.

Selene misses Kane and she expresses a sad face keeping those thoughts in mind.

But why did Selene suddenly feel lonely?

Did Kane mind linked with Selene?.....

Feana notices Selene's expression and questions her like... " Are you alright?"...

Selene replies...I am fine...

Mid-day sun hits the head of pool players. So we grab snacks like cotton candy, ice candy, popcorns salted, cheese and caramel flavours to relish our taste buds.

Selene and Eva feel tired, after paddling their legs on the pool, they occupy a space in a resort to have a talk about their life.

Both of them talk about their married life and have a heart-to-heart conversation.

Eva takes tablets with water.

Selene asks... Why are you taking tablets now ?

Eva replies... I got a miscarriage a few days back after my wedding...

Selene replies... Oh... I am sorry to hear this....but how it happened...?

Eva replies. . The foetus was not well-formed..so it got aborted...

Selene says... Don't worry...everything will be fine soon.... take care of your health...

Eva says... thank you, Selene...!!

Selene and Eva talk about their not so good relationship with mother-in-law. They open up more about their personal life.

Day passes with enjoyment, excitement, playfulness and friendly gossips.

Will Selene cope up with her personal and professional life??

Selene was a vampire with those superpowers and fastness in work. She can feel intuition and possess telepathic communication with her close one's.

" Selene' s mid-night dream"

Selene has a dream while sleeping in her bedroom!

A Tsunami surfaces the whole place and a huge wave sweeps her house into the very depth of the ocean kingdom. She feels like cut short of oxygen supply, but surprisingly she was able to breathe.

Bioluminescence are emitted by jellyfishes in the arena of ocean. The coral reefs, ocean dwellers, fishes like salmon, tuna, octopus and shell-fishes swim in the ocean.

Selene was possessed with a superior trait of respiring in ocean to live with the sea- animals.

Selene was regarded as "ocean queen" with a well-established kingdom to support her.

One day, Selene gather pearls to gift a necklace for her sister. When Selene dives deeper into the ocean, she could feel someone tracking in her mind's eye.

Selene adorns the colourful beads into an elegant necklace and wraps it with a diamond-embellished silvery cloth.

In dreams, a man appears with a cheerful smile.

Selene is amazed to see a handsome guy in her ocean kingdom.

He says, hey...beautiful. I am Prince..how are you doing....??

Selene gets shuddered for a second, and replies..

Hi, prince ...I am doing good, how are you doing?. I am Bella.. ( smiles...)

Prince replies..dear Bella, I had heard about you, but It's my first time to see you in person. It's my pleasure to meet you, queen.

Bella says...Thank you Prince for your kind words. I am glad to meet you too...

She says..

" May I know which province you belong to??... "

He replies..

I belong to the Hellenicus empire.....

Oh...I had heard about it.....the own heirs of the God..., she exclaimed with a smile on her face...

She tried to mind-link with him, but she couldn't

Prince exhibited a slim curvy features with a chiselled face, emerald eyes and strong abbs.

Prince asked Bella....., Will you be my friend??

Bella replied..."yes.....

Prince told Bella that he would meet at the same place at 3 pm every day.

Selene nods yes...!!

And both get departed cheerfully...

Selene wakes up from her dream...She is back to her senses and smirks...saying ....." it was just a dream"...but deep down she felt as if it was real.

Selene flushes her face with cold water to open up her sleepy eyes. She slides gently into her bedroom without making any sound as Kane was in a deep sleep.

She goes to the kitchen to brew a strong coffee. She sips the aromatic coffee little by little.

Selene's POV

I just had my coffee...So it's time to cook now...

I must chop these tomatoes to make a dish.

" She finely chops 3 tomatoes "...

I will boil eggs for lunch...

" She keeps eggs in a vessel and boils it..."

I must keep the rice on cooker...

In the meantime, the eggs boil...Selene makes tomato gravy...

Tomato gravy is ready with roasted masalas and ginger garlic paste...

I have to add cooked rice to the gravy...its done....tada!!!

I will now make oats for the breakfast...

She keeps the cooked food on the dining table and goes to have a quick shower...ll

I have to awaken my senses with a feel-good shower gel for a long day...

After her shower...

Let me choose the pastel orange kurta paired with rose gold earrings...

She sprays the Calvin Klein perfume...

She uses a red lipstick minimally...

Selene gets an auto to go to School...

When Selene walks...her perfume brings a pleasant aroma...

She goes to the first floor... nobody was there...

After a while...

Sandon enters the room...

Sandon: Hi !!

Selene: Hi...

Sandon talks about his experience as a Maths teacher...

Selene says it was her first time being a teacher...

Eva enters the scene...

Eva... Hi... both...

Then Eva talks about her metro travel journey...

A teacher comes to call all of them to the principal office...

Hudson says...

Good morning teachers...!!!

Let me introduce Selene, Eva and Sandon...they are the new teachers... let's welcome them...

Hudson says... Selene, you came early right....?

Selene replies... Yes.

Hudson tells teachers to get mingled and schedule their timetable.

Selene and Liandra exchange their talks.

Liandra asks... Are you good at English?

Selene replies..... Oh...!! yes...

Christy POV

My may month was awesome..

I had skin and hair care at home.!!

Christy was the Hindi Teacher. She barely talks English...

Teachers organise their timetable, but it overlaps somehow or other. So they relax for a while. Teachers are instructed to submit their lesson plan in a week.

Selene asks... Can you help me with the lesson plan??

Liandra says.. Yea. I will...

Both of them talk about their preferences...

Feana calls Liandara to have some talk. They both leave the room.

Selene plans the lessons as per her knowledge and gets hints from other teachers. Selene has the quality of being kind and courteous besides her acquaintance.

Selene has upgraded her skills in education and presentations. She has the quality of being productive and implements sincere efforts in whatever work she does.

Selene is a workaholic with a keen focus in the work-life.

The clock ticks 1 pm in the noon...

Teachers are allowed to go to their homes.

Selene at Chapel ~

Selene thanks God for providing her with a good job at the time of family chaos.

Day 2 ends well without any regrets.

Selene walks out of the campus and reaches home..

Selene refreshes, changes her dress and goes to her one year daughter. Elena jumps and kisses her on the cheeks.

Selene's heart melts to see her daughter back.

She prepares milk on the stove and feeds her. Elena starts to play and walks through every room of the house.

Elena and Selene have their emotional moments together.

In the evening, Selene makes a cardamon tea and serve the whole family...

The bell rings (Ding dong)...Kane returns home ...

Selene smiles at Kane. He refreshes himself and changes his clothes.

Selene serves him a hot tea. Kane gives a look at Selene and she gives a smile back.

She goes to the kitchen to wash vessels from the sink. After that, she takes some vegetables to chop by siting at the dining table.

Kane plays with Elena as they watch television. In the meanwhile, Selene prepares food for dinner.

Time rolls..she completes her kitchen works by 8 pm and irons an ethnic wear for her next day. She prepares for her classes too.

Dinner time ~

Selene serves the dinner

( Fish curry, white rice and cooked veggies)...

Kane and Selene have their dinner together.

After her dinner, Selene feeds her daughter with dhal porridge and spends some time with her. Elena starts to play with mom and dad by running around the room.

Selene ensures to sleep at 10 pm by handing Elena to her dad and in-laws. Occasionally, Elena knocks on the bedroom door of her mom when she misses her. But Selene has got no other option when she has to wake up in the early morning.

Selene feels happier at night when she realises....she is capable of doing something after 2 years of her wedded life.

Selene has big dreams of becoming successful also feels to support her family from their house loans.

The next day... Hudson calls Selene...

Hudson - Hi teacher...

Selene - Hi... sir

Hudson informs Selene that she would receive 14 k every month. She accepts the deal because she always wanted to work.

* About Kane

Kane belongs to the alpha group, being a little dominant and reserved type.

He wants the home tidy all the time, as some of his mom's genes are rendered within him.

Selene knows his demands and tries to fulfil his wishes.

Kane has always instructed Selene to become an independent person. So Selene was happy to do so.

Is Kane a werewolf or a vampire?

Does he exhibit the trait off cold-blooded vampire?

Kane exhibits the traits of fastness in his work, cleanliness, sharp mind, enhanced concentration and focus while his body stays warm.

Selene questions her mind about Kane being a hybrid......!!!

Kane belongs to the werewolf clan. He betrays someone and activates the curse of being a dominating Alpha.

Kane tries to hunt down a hybrid in a fight. Nick was half-werewolf and an original vampire, more powerful than Kane.

Both rage war ferociously to attack each other. The consequences make Kane get bitten by Nick.

Darren searches for the doppelganger blood to save Kane. Now Kane becomes a hybrid too.

His characteristics changes as he switches off his humanity to release the pain out.
