Chapter 15: QuarantineNURSE ERICA WAS GOING through all of Janina’s things. She opened all her dresser drawers and took out anything with a cord and anything that was sharp or that could be broken into sharp pieces. She took Janina’s mirror, her pens and pencils, her pencil sharpener, her boombox, and even her bras and put them all into a box. All Janina could do was watch from her bed. She had buried herself up to her neck in her covers. Even after having the hot chocolate and soup, she still felt like she’d never get warm. Soon they’d take the box away, just as they’d taken the chicken away. But that was only because she’d asked them to put it in the refrigerator and save it for later. She was still too upset to eat very much. “You’ll get everything back soon,” Nurse Erica reassured her
