Bridgette

Lavender's heavy boots announced her presence just before she opened the door.  She threw open the door and found them just as her gift predicted, but something was a little different. Something she hadn't noticed before. Tyran was not touching her in the slightest.  He hands were awkwardly at his side, not sure of what to do and he was visibly straining his neck to pull away from Bridgette's grasp.     "Baby, you know last time was the best right? And you can't mean that it was really the last ti..." The words died on Bridgette's lips when she realized they were no longer alone. Lavender stood in the door way with an eyebrow raised at the scene and a hand on her hip. Tyran was looking at Lavender with an almost pleading look in his eyes.  It was not like him to beg but desperate times called for desperate measures.  While he was not a gentleman by any means, he was unsure how to navigate these waters. He didn't want to hurt the woman, but the way she was touching him was not okay and he needed help getting out this awkward situation. Lavender rolled her eyes and sighed at the scene.     "Bridgette I think you need to let Tyran go. He doesn't seem to be reciprocating your advances."     Bridgette narrowed her eyes and Lavender and replied," I don't think you know what your talking about and you should see yourself out. Me and Tyran have unfinished business that doesn't concern you." With that being said, she doubled down on her efforts and pulled Tyran down for a very strained and uncomfortable kiss.     "Hey! I said you needed to leave. He doesn't want you and he doesn't want to be touched like that. Get out!"     Lavender surged forward and pulled Bridgette's hand out of Tyran's hair and yanked her off of him. She started struggling and protesting immediately.  lavender wasted no time with twisting that arm behind her back and leading her to the door. With a harsh shove, Bridgette was out in the hallway and Lavender slammed the door shut behind her. Tyran was standing by the bed running his hand through his hair and worry creased his brow.     "Hey are you okay? That was not fair of Bridgette to put you in that position."     "Yea, I think I am okay. I can fight off a man any day of the weak, but throw a woman at me and I'm not sure what to do." he let out a forced laugh and visibly tried to shake off the awkward and unwanted encounter. Lavender felt a small amount of empathy for him and she could relate to what he just went through. Being a female bounty hunter was not exactly easy, and there's a reason why she was always so cold and distant to others. People hurt people. It's just the way of the world.     "We should probably pack up and leave before Bridgette kicks us out. How could you bring us to a place your old flame runs?"     "I thought things between us were mutual, clearly not. Yea, we need to hit the road anyways."     Lavender felt a slight jab at her heart. Jealousy? Anger? Yes and yes. For the first time in a long time, Lavender felt jealous because Tyran clearly had an intimate relationship with the woman. She was also angry because how dare that woman try and take advantage of Tyran. She felt curious. What was Tryan like before? Was he with a lot of women? Did he like women like Bridgette?     As if sensing her uneasiness, Tyran breached the uncomfortable silence that had fallen between them while they packed up.     "Thanks for that, by the way.  She was mistake a few years ago. Just an easy way to pass the time. I thought we could make the relationship work and be more after visiting a few times, but I quickly found out it was more than just me paying visits to Bridgette.  I let it go and we parted ways."     Lavender released the breath she didn't realize she had be holding and threw her pack over her shoulder. She gave Tyran a quick nod and opened the door to their room. He grabbed his bag and they started toward the exit of the inn. On the way out Lavender threw their room key at Bridgette's general direction and kept walking without so much as a glance in her direction.     It was mid morning and they mounted their horses after retrieving them from the stable. Even though Lavender was still feeling a little queasy from last night's fun, she was okay with getting away from this town and the inn. Putting as much distance between Tyran and Bridgette as possible felt good.  It was an odd realization for Lavender since they had only just met. Even though he wasn't hers, she definitely didn't want him to be anyone else's.
