I run down the hall and downstairs to be met with chaos. My men are holding their own well. Thankfully, we seem to outnumber the opponent vastly.
My eyes are diverted by A shrill scream and I turn to see Nadia being drug by her hair.
I aim and shoot the fucker in the head, dropping him immediately. Nadia nods at me and returns to beating the s**t of anybody in her path. The fight continues for hours until the opponents retreat. The floors are coated in blood and we did have two casualties. Nadia needed stitches for a gash on her head, and Alaric broken an arm while defending my mother's quarters.
After making sure everyone was safe, I made my way back upstairs. I was confident Lilli, would be safe in my room, none of the attackers had the chance to reach the second story.
