Cassandra pov

Thomas and I got back to my house a little late. He was pretty shaken up about the whole ordeal with grandfather today so I took him to the arcade to blow off some steam and relax a bit after we had dinner. I laid him down in his bed and went to my room to wash up and get some sleep myself.

The next morning I woke Thomas up to take him to school so I could get to work. I walked into my office with a few minutes to spare before the meeting today about merging my grandfather's company with mine. That way I can work out of one office and not have to be in two buildings at the same time considering that would be impossible.

As I'm walking out of my office door heading to the meeting room I bumped into a hard chest. I looked up to realize I had bumped into the one and only crush I've ever had, John. Yes I hired him just to be able to see him every day. I had promoted him to manager of one of the departments in the business that so happens to be a big part of the company which means I get to see him every day.

"S.. sorryy I wasnn't paying attention." I shuttered the apology.

"It's OK I was just coming to see if you were ready for the meeting."

"Yes, I am heading there now." I said smiling trying to gather confidence and not stutter so much. For some reason he is the only one that I stutter so much in front of. I mean if I'm talking directly to him, if he is in the room but I'm not talking straight to him I don't stutter at all.

Few hours later everyone had agreed that it would be beneficial for everyone if we had just merged the company's together.
