He would look at me and then smile and something his mom was saying.
“Yes mom she fine. Yes I know, I know.”
And then he held the phone out to me. I took it and answered with a nice warming hello.
“Well, hello there Lenora.”
“Hi Mrs. DeLoen how are you?”
“I’m fine, how are you holding up.”
“Umm I'm okay. I just wish that people would stop looking at me like I don't know what's going on you know.”
“Yes sweetie I know somewhat what you mean.”
“Really? Or are you only saying that to make me feel better?”
“Alltel of both.”
“Well thank you Mrs. DeLoen.”
“You're welcome honey but I wish I could talk longer but I have to go. Will you please give Sean back the phone?”
Handing the phone and going back inside the house. As I walked out of the kitchen the phone rang. Turning around and answering the phone to hear Maurice laughing in the background.
“Hello?”
“Oh. Oh, hi sweetie, how I’m I going to say this? Well, me and your dad aren’t going to be home tonight so umm, yeah I have to go.”
“Okay, why not?”
“Well, I love you sweetie goodbye.”
I pulled the phone away from my ear and looked at it funny. That wasn’t like my mom to just call and then say that and not let me talk. I hung up the phone a little too hard.
Is everythi- I jumped at the sound of Sean being in the room.
“Nora I’m sorry I didn't mean. Sorry.”
“It’s okay.”
“Really?”
“Yes really its fine.”
He raised an eyebrow at me. Walking over to and kissed me on the forehead. And then just looked down at me.
“What wrong?”
“My mom and Step loser aren’t coming home tonight.”
“What? They’re not coming home?”
“No sounded like they were at a party or something like that.”
“Okay, umm, your mom is stupid she really thing that you could stay home alone after everything that has happen?”
“That the thing, Sean, she is stupid she tries to act like I never went missing that I've been here the last year. She doesn't care what go on she doesn't care about me.”
“Do you what me to stay?”
“Would your mom let you?”
“ I can call her and if not here then my house.”
“Please do I don't want to be alone tonight.”
“Okay I call her in about ten minutes but first could here.”
At once his hands were on my waist pulling me in. Laughing at that he lend down and kissed me deep.
We stood in the kitchen kissing each other again and again. I smiled at the fact that he was mine and that I really loved him. He pulled back, looking into my eyes. “What?”
“Nothing.”
“Oh really?”
I pulled away from him and walked out of the kitchen into the hall. I laughed as he came in behind me. Grabbing my hand and pulling me back in.
“You now if you didn't play games with me it won’t be fun loving you Nora.”
“Really and what that mean?”
“That you’re not boring.”
“Awe, will, you know me not to be boring babe.” I smile through the kiss.
“I love you and I don't want to ever leave you.”
“Then you better call you mom and ask her if you can stay over tonight.”
“That's right I should but then I can’t kiss those lips of your.”
Smilng I pushed him away and went into the living room. “Sean call her and then we can watch a movie.”
I heard him say something under his breath before saying hello to his mom. I sat down on the coach waiting for him to come in. Ten minutes later he walked in smiling. I looked at his six-four finger as he walked over to the movies.
"I take that smile as a yes from your mom."
“She said that I can stay tell the day you don't need me anymore.” He smiled.
“Well, that might be tell the day after you die.” I joked.
“What movie do you want to watch?” He asked.
“Umm I don't care you pick.” He looked at a movie and then at me and shock his head. It took about ten minuets before he putted it in and came to sit next to me. The menu to Timeline came on and I looked up at Sean who had a big smile on his face. I kissed him on the cheek and then pushed play. I ended up lay down on his lap as he brushed a hand through my hair.
Half way there the movie I started to fall asleep so I walked up to my bath room and cleaned up and then went a got on my favorite J.G.'s. Black with red pock-o-dots and plus it was silk. I went back down to see Sean still on the coach watching the movie. When he looked up his eye got big and mouth drop. It took everything I had not to laugh at him but I couldn’t hide it. I started laughing and he hoped off the coach. Coming at me and then stopping just feet in front of me.
“What?”
“Nothing I just haven’t heard you laugh like that in a long time.”
“Well maybe I didn't have a reason to.”
“Oh, so seeing my eyes jump out of my head because I have a downright hot girlfriend is a reason?”
“Oh, now, you’re lying there Sean.”
“I wish I was.”
“Then you’re just saying that.”
“Once again, I wish I was.”
“Okay well I’m going to go to bed, so yeah. Okay I’ll be up there in a minute.”
“Well, I wait for you okay.”
“Nora its fine okay go you look like you going to crash where you stand.”
“But- “
“Nora go okay.”
“Can you make should all the door are locked.”
“Sure.”
“Oh, and the basement too.”
“Nora I was planning on that.’
“Okay.” I turned and walked back up to my room. Laying on my bed I listened to Sean go through the house turning everything off and locking everything up.
