The next day, Max texts me asking me if he can come over so we can talk about last night. I told him yes. I get out of bed and take a quick shower. I put on an AAR shirt and cotton shorts when I heard a knock on my door. I sit on my bed. "Come in" and Max walks in and shuts the door behind him. He walks over to my bed and sits down next to me.
"What happened last night?" He looked at me a little worried.
"Well... I guess I... I got jealous." I said shyly and looked away.
"Sage, what do you mean jealous? Jealous of what?"
"I saw you messaging Lilly and you lied to me and told me that you were texting Mads. I don't know why you would lie to me about messaging Lilly."
"Seriously?" Great, he probably thinks I am crazy. "I'm sorry Sage. I didn't know that was it. Why didn't you just say something? Lilly texted me but right as you sat down, Mads did text me I wasn't lying". He gets closer to me and hugs me. I rest my head against his chest and I hear his heartbeat.
"You must think I am crazy for getting so upset over nothing"
"No, it was totally understandable and I am sure the alcohol did not help the situation last night, even if you didn't drink that much". I looked up at him into his green eyes. My god, his eyes were a beautiful green. I mean, I guess they were hazel but they were way more green then any other hazel-eyed person I ever saw. His eyes were gorgeous. Eyes are always my favorite thing in a person and usually the first thing I notice. I looked at his lips then back up to his eyes. He was looking at my lips and then into my eyes. He got up and stepped away.
"Lets go hang out with the gang, yeah?" I looked at him confused.
"Oh um sure let me change real quick and we can head out." I got up and headed over to my closet and shut the door behind me and put some jean shorts on and grabbed flip flops. I walked out. "Lets go". I give half a smile. Why didn't he want to kiss me? He actively avoided it. Did I have bad breath? I don't think so, I brushed my teeth right before he got there.
We walked through campus to Marks because when we all hung out we went to Marks because his place was the biggest. It was a nice day out and it was about noon, so it was kinda warm outside as well. Marks place is kinda far from my place because I'm actually close to the senior apartments. Which are 1 or 2 bedroom apartments, but I had a little studio. It didn't have a kitchen in it like the apartments, but it was bigger than some of the junior dorms. We finally got to Marks and we walked in. Everything is packed. Well, not everything but most of Marks' things were in boxes.
"What is going on Mark?" Max asked, looking around confused. Mads and Mark are packing a box each.
"Well, I am moving", Mark says, looking up at Max with a what can you do look "They just told me I am moving into the senior apartment."
"Sweet." Max said
"Yeah it is" he smiles at Max and continues to pack "Wanna help me move bro?"
"Sure" He grabs a box and looks at me. "Wanna help Sage?"
"Sure I would love to help" I said, and look at Mark from the corner of my eye and he is giving me a dirty look like he wished I wasn't there, but he didn't say anything because I was with Max. I grab a box and Mads tells me that I should go into the bedroom and start packing it up. I head into the bedroom and start packing up the stuff on his desk like nick knacks and colognes. One of his colognes catches my attention as it smells amazing. The bottle is pretty interesting as well. It was a tall silver metal thing. It kind of looks like 3 test tubes merged together. I read the label AXE LAB. I took the cap off and sprayed it. Omg, this is the sexiest scent I have ever smelled. I was surprised because it was made by axe and it usually smells like crap. I finished packing up the room and we started moving everything to Marks' new place, which happened to be almost right next to mine, great.
"Hey look at that Sage, your place is right next to my brothers and mine" Mads pipes up. I gave her a confused look.
"Yours?"
"Yeah, I'm staying with the bro for a bit till they find me a new place," Mads says. Not only is Mark living closer to me, but every time I want to hang out with Mads, I have to be near Mark in the same apartment as him. f*****g great. I look at Mark, who looks like he is thinking the same thing. I try and look into his mind but I get blocked. Hmm, he must have learned how to close his mind to me. He looks at me and walks over to me.
"I felt that" He whispers angrily "Don't try and read my mind any more!" He hisses at me and walks away to start putting everything back. He smelled like the Axe. God that smell is going to be a problem. I walked over to Mads' room and decided to help her unpack.
When I get there, I close her door. "Omg Mads I have to tell you something huge" I say, and she squeals excitedly. I told her everything that happened with Max this morning.
"He really got up and walked away in the middle of a kissable moment?" She looks at me dumb founded but then quickly changes her expression to one that doesn't look the least bit surprised. "I know why that happened."
"Why did he say something to you about me? Does he not find me attractive?"
"No, it is nothing like that. I heard him talking to Mark. He is a complete virgin and has never even kissed a girl before."
"Really? He hasn't kissed anyone before?"
"Apparently, and that would explain his weird behavior."
"I guess. He did tell me last night that he has never had a girlfriend before, but I didn't think that meant he had never kissed anyone before." That would explain a lot. I really hope he changes his mine soon. I need some making out soon.
