The Attack (Part 2)

Jessica's POV:         “s**t,” I rubbed my face really hard.         “Someone summoned those demons.” Jaime said.         “I know,” I said in a low tone. “Do you have any of those magic raising pills on you?” I asked Jaime.         “Yeah. Are you running low on magic energy already?” She pulled out an energy pill.         “Yeah I used magic to increase my speed and using the fire element on both swords,” I said, taking the pill, saying the magic words and popping it into my mouth crunching on it.         “Jessie, you need to be careful, Remember the last time you did this?” How could I forget. I used too many of them and I ended up in bed sleeping for a week.         “You really have to use that against me? Now we have to figure out another plan. Damien, do you know how many have been injured?”         “A lot,” He said grimly.         “Jaime, go help those who need healing. I’ll follow suit, but I need to call some people first.” She nodded and headed out. I went into one of the buildings and found a phone. I dialed the number and let it ring.          “Hello?”          “Hey dad, you busy?” I asked.         “How about hi dad sorry we couldn’t come home, but I sent my luggage ahead,” he said sarcastically.         “Dad it’s a real shitstorm over here. I had a vision of Hunters being killed by demons left and right. I’m sorry, I didn’t call ahead, but this was important. Jaime and I are the only healers here. I was calling to ask if you and the boys could. We need our people up and running. If not we’ll all die. Well I’d probably try to protect these people, but dad this is an emergency coming from your daughter. I need help, and then I can tell you of my amazing adventure.”         “You promise?”         “I promise, dad.”         “We’ll be there soon,” He said.         "Alright,” I said and gave him the coordinates on where to go.         “See ya,” I said.         “Will do,” He said and I hung up. I sat in the corner and closed my eyes for a second. I needed to rest for a bit. David’s POV:         I walked into the building Jessie went into not too long ago. It was one of those big room cabins for parties or when we have weddings of council members. I followed the smell of blood into one of the back rooms. Everyone of these buildings is made out of log.         I opened the door to a hallway and saw Jessie in the corner of my eyes. She was curled up in the corner sleeping. I crept towards her and sat next to her and slowly and as gently as I could I pulled her onto my lap holding her body close to me.          Her peaceful breathing tickled my neck, but I have fallen for this girl. Daniel and I have been fighting over her and it’s not something we would fight over. We had both fallen head over heels for her. It has caused a rift between us.         She shifted a little and moved closer moving her right arm around my neck and her forehead hitting the side of my neck. I felt like I was in heaven.          But like all things someone has to ruin my moment. Johnny came running in and found the both of us and he was being loud.         “Shhhhh,” I shushed him. “You’ll wake her,” I whispered. She moaned a little and moved. Both Johnny and I were frozen in our spots. It was all for nothing and she was still again and breathing evenly.         “I was just looking her. Her dad is here with her brothers,” Johnny whispered.         “She probably called them to help heal the wounded,” I whispered.         “I’m awake,” Jessie shot up wide awake. She yawned widely. Then she looked at me and then where she was sitting and then jumped off my lap. Her face was beet red. Jessica’s POV:         I shot up and realized I was on David’s lap. It was comfortable, but I’d be embarrassed to say that aloud.          I jumped off his lap feeling really embarrassed. David stood up and pulled me into a tight hug. It feel so relaxing just being hugged. But I had to go meet dad.         I said my goodbyes and ran out of the building to go find dad. Weaving through buildings until we were right in front of the cafeteria.          “Hey dad,” I said running up. Dad grabbed me and pulled me into a hug. He held me tightly.         “I was so worried. I thought you had been hurt.”          “Sorry dad, but I’ve been running on fumes and needed a little rest. But I’m all energized now. Let’s go help Jaime heal the wounded.         “How about we go in and help and you go rest up some more?” Dad suggested         “I agree,” Elias said, popping up out of nowhere.         “I’m fine, I have more energy now. But if you feel that way I’ll go do some recon on how far away those demons are.” I turned away and whistled for China. Yes I named my flying unicorn that. She is as pretty as chinaware.          “Jessica, You should be resting and preparing for the next attack,” Elias said as China swooped down.         “I am preparing for the next attack Eli. You have to know I am trying to protect all of you. These last two years I have been prepping and protecting witches from summoned demons. Someone had summoned these demons. I have no idea for what, but I am going to do what it takes to find out. I will rest when this is all over.” I swooped into the sky. Elias just really agitated me. But I looked around and realized, we have less time than I had hoped before the next attack. They weren’t far. That big ass demon in the distance stood out. Its blobby, puke green skin wobbled with each step. The smaller demons were marching behind it.          We have at least a half hour before they reach us. I turned back and swooped down into the trees before landing before everyone including council members. A woman stood out to me. She had hazelnut colored hair, and blue eyes just like mine. Her eyes met mine and then she ran at me. I froze. She wrapped her arms around me. She pulled back and looked at me with such a bright smile.         “My granddaughter,” she whispered. My eyes went wide.         “Are you my mother’s mother?” I asked.         “Yes,” she smiled brightly. “Not only are you beautiful, but you are strong as well,” she stated.         “More like reckless,” Jaime said coming out of the building followed by dad and my brothers.         “I agree with her on that one,” Anthony said. Referring to the time I was traveling with them and had to save a child from a bear. I gave him a death glare.         “I can be reckless, but you have to realize I’m ten times stronger than you are,” I said, also referring to the situation.         “You three get over here,” she said and they came over including Jaime. She then grabbed all of us and hugged us.         “It’s been a long time Constance,” Dad said.         “Yeah, sorry I have been busy with the council duties.”         “Sorry for interrupting the reunion, but we have more demons on the way and we have at least a half an hour to prepare for their arrival,” I said. They all turned to me wide eyed.          “Are you sure?”          “Yes, there is one giant demon leading some more demons here. The demons were summoned probably soon after the first attack. We have a half hour to come up with some kind of plan,” I said.          “Well I’m up for suggestions,” My grandmother said. Just as I said that my Uncle Josh showed up.         “Nice of you to join us,” I said, way too happy for the moment. He flinched.         “Thought I might join the fun,” he said looking at me. He already knew what I was planning from the beginning. Damn him.         “Well now we have five witches,” I said. “Dad, how are the injured?” I asked him.         “They need time to heal and we won’t be able to get them all healed in time,” I nodded my head.         “Whoever is healed send them out to help in the fight. Jaime, how many energy pills do we have?”         “I made about 200 of them, and we have about fifty magic replenishing pills,” Jaime said.         “Jaime, stay with dad for now and give those who have healed the energy pills. I’ll take some that I have and spread them among the Hunters. Can I have four of the magic replenish pills?” I asked and she reached into her bag and handed them to me. I have about 200 energy pills on me.         “Dad, Damon, Anthony, and Evan. I leave the Job of healing the wounded to you if you would.” They nodded and headed inside with Jaime, but I grabbed her. “In twenty five minutes come out, I’ll need you in this fight,” I said and she nodded. “Council member Claus Faun,” He stepped forward. “I need you to stay with the children. I know you're better with children and I know you can’t be in this fight right now. Protect the children if need be.” He nodded his head and walked away. “If you see any Hunters on your way there, send them in front of the cafeteria,” He waved his hand in acknowledgement.          “We need to have every Hunter present at this meeting. If we can track them down and have them sent here that would be nice.” I had few volunteers and they ran out looking for the Hunters. We waited a few minutes before everyone gathered.         “Is this everyone?” They nodded. “So we have another hoard of demons coming our way. I have a plan so don’t panic. Here’s the plan, we are going to erect a giant barrier around half of this land in a semicircle. We will station Hunters in groups on each side. We need to split the demons off as much as we can. Uncle Josh will help me erect this stone barrier. Now I will pick the group for the east side and the west side. I want you to get into your groups. Then get as many weapons as you need and wait until we can erect this barrier. We are on a clock. You will have five minutes to be ready.” I split the groups evenly. They probably had about seventy people here. We’re twenty people down. Twenty five people a group. They ran off and Uncle Josh and I ran south.         “You might want to hold my hand,” Uncle Josh said. I took his hand and we fused our power together. We reached deep and pulled up this thick, giant wall. That big galute could smash through it within a second, but I’m not worried about him. We ran back and met up with the rest of the Hunters. Jaime came out of the cafeteria..         “Uncle Josh, I need you to head to the cabin where all the children are. I know you know where it is. I need you to use a magical barrier to protect them.”         “Okay,” he said and headed that way.          “Jaime I want you to take that team and head west to the edge of the wall. Be prepared for a big fight. Also give the Hunters energy pills. God knows they will need it for this fight.” She headed their way. I went over to the east team. I pulled out my bag of energy pills.          “I’m giving each one of you an energy pill. It will give you the energy you need to keep fighting,” I said handing each one an energy pill. I put one in my mouth and chewed and swallowed it. It gave me more energy to keep going. We headed to the edge of the wall.         I could feel the vibration of the earth and some demons were coming our way. I got into my stance. They came around the corner and we started slashing and stabbing. I was killing many so I could leave to take down the giant demon. So as soon as their numbers matched ours, I slashed the demon I was fighting in half and whistled for China.         I flew into the air. I popped two magic replenishers into my mouth. Now the thing with these is one will fully replenish your magic. I’m filling myself so full with magic because I was going to be using it. My swords flashed with flames and I extended it to the max. Because I will be slashing right through this mother fucker. With one blow. The demon broke through the wall and I was close. I jumped off China and used most of my magic cutting through and burning this demon to the ground. I retracted my flames and hit the ground and rolled. China flew to the ground and I climbed onto her. She flew to the front of the cafeteria. She was looking for Jaime to help. I was weak now, because like Jaime said, I am reckless. What I did was reckless and stupid, but I can handle it.         Instead of Jaime though, Charlie came running my way. Must be done on the west side. He was at my side putting his right hand on my left cheek. I was practically laying on China. I was having a hard time hearing him and my eyes were threatening to close. Damn I really am reckless, but I don’t regret it. I don’t regret protecting these Hunters. I don’t regret protecting my family.         “Damn, she must have used two magic replenishers,” I heard Jaime say.         “Magic replenishers?” Charlie asked.         “They help replenish our magic. One should be enough, but dumbass here took two. She Had more magic than her body could handle. So this i***t will be sleeping for a week.”         “It’ll be less than that I took three the last time. That's why I was out for a week,” I chuckled.         “You're still an i***t,” She said.         “Your i***t sister,” I said smiling like a goof. Before I knew it I was out like a light.
