It’s been a couple of days since I came back. Unfortunately panic has swept through the house and Jaime and I were alone with the kids. Jaime and I were in the training room training Andrew and Tillie. Anne sat in a corner watching the training intently. I wouldn’t be surprised when the girl starts her own training she knows what to do. She is memorizing every move we make.
Jaime is training Andrew, While I am training Tillie. Tillie wanted me to train her, but to get her on the fast track to what she wants to become I am the best option. I may have struggled to begin with because I was having internal problems. When I finally used my energy in a different way I picked it up much faster. So Tillie’s future weighs on my shoulders.
Jaime is training Andrew because he didn’t want me to. It kind of hurt, but I guess there is nothing I can do about it.
Tillie and I were aggressively sword fighting. I am using a normal sword because the only reason to use my seacreel swords is in battle. She kept attacking and I kept blocking. She was fast. But I was faster.
“Tillie, time out,” I said. I motioned for her to come closer. She dropped her sword by her side and came my way.
“You are just wildly attacking. You need patience. Watch your opponent’s every move and then make an attack when you see an opening. But make sure it isn’t a false opening. So patience, watch and wait. Live by that motto when you are training. Soon it’ll become a really wonderful habit to have. Now let’s use what I just said and let’s keep going.” She walked back to her spot and we kept going. This time using what I had just told her.
We were training long after Jaime, Andrew and Anne left the training room. When we finally stopped we went into the house taking showers and then eating dinner.
I was finally in my room lying in bed. When I realized Jeremy would be coming back in time for our date. He had just texted me saying that I should wear something casual. But he said I have to wear a dress or a skirt. Shoot I now have to go shopping. Most of my dresses are not casual.
Jaime then barged into my room and switched on my light.
“I can feel you thinking so hard from my room. What’s wrong?” She asked. Now a little story time. Jaime and I have always been connected and we once were able to feel each other's emotions, but after falling out our connection broke. The boys have the same thing. Jaime and I were training with David and Daniel. I was watching them and thought to myself. They're going to attack from the right and behind.
All of sudden a sword clattered to the ground. I looked over at Jaime to see her eyes wide staring at me.
“I hope you said that aloud,” she whispered. David and Daniel stopped their attack and came towards us.
“I didn’t,” I whispered back.
“What’s going on with you two. You need to focus. You both are behind in your training as it is,” David said.
“Um,” I hummed, rubbing the back of my neck.
“I heard Jessica’s thoughts,” Jaime blurted out.
“What?” Daniel asked puzzled.
“I was thinking about the attack and somehow she was able to hear my thoughts,” I said.
“s**t, another witch trait,” David said. “Daniel go get their father,” David ordered. We just stood in an awkward silence. A few minutes later Dad and Daniel burst through the door. Dad looked a little concerned.
“Is everything alright?” He asked.
“Everything is okay, just that these two seem to have gotten a witch trait that you need to explain to them,” David pointed at the two of us. Dad turned toward us.
“What’s going on?” He asked.
“Seem’s Jaime and I are able to hear each other's thoughts,” I said. Dad chuckled.
“Are you also able to feel each other’s emotions and are able to find each other without even realizing it?” He asked. Jaime and I looked at each other. We used to be able to do that before we even had our powers.
“We used to when we had a good relationship with each other before we had our powers back,” I said.
“Among witches and warlocks, multiples are born connected and they are able to connect to each other in many different ways. Your brothers are able to do the same. You ever see them just look at each other silently and then they move in unison when they work on medicines?” We both nodded. “That's what it is. They are close because of this connection. The more you two reconnect the more you’ll be able to do. Think of it as a good thing, especially in both your cases,” he said with a half smile.
“What do you mean?” Daniel asked.
“It means because we can read each other’s minds, that we can use it to our advantage. Like during training, we can communicate without words and will be able to work together. Like with you two circling around us earlier I was etching your every move and calculating when you were going to attack. Then I thought to myself ‘they're going to attack from the right and from behind’ and that is an advantage,” I said.
“That is a good thing especially in battle,” David said. We continued to chat about the pros and cons about this, but in the end we went back to training.
Jaime felt my emotions because we had finally reconnected as sisters and she knew I was worrying.
“I have a date with Jeremy and I need to go shopping for a new outfit,” Jaime lit up.
“Then let's go shopping tomorrow. David and Daniel will be back and you don’t have to be with either of them.” I just sighed because I really don’t want to go with Jaime. She can go crazy at the mall. Me, I would just be in and out.
“No, I am going with you. No if’s, and’s, or but’s about it.” I sighed.
“Fine,” I whined.
“Good girl,” she smiled. “Now I need my beauty sleep for tomorrow. Goodnight.”
“Goodnight,” She closed my door. s**t what did I get myself into.
The next day Jaime jumped on me to wake up. I got dressed into a pair of light blue, jean shorts. I do not wear short shorts. I think it's quite tacky for girls to walk around with half their ass hanging out. I put on a white tank top and a short sleeve crop top that ties in the front. I slipped on my light blue pumps. I then went into the bathroom, put up my hair and makeup of eyeliner (bottom and top lid), mascara, and light pink lip gloss. I grabbed my purse tossing my lip gloss into my purse and made my way downstairs.
Jaime and I left for Chicago after David and Daniel came back. They have the best malls and it may be a little pricey, but worth it. Jaime and I grabbed breakfast on the way.
When we finally made it to the biggest mall there we were in and out of stores. If your wondering how we are paying for this since technically we are not making any money right now. Delilah and Lily put aside a trust fund for us. We use the money from there. Plus they kept adding more and more to that. We haven’t even gone through half of the money we have.
Store after store. Clothes, shoes, accessories and jewelry. We went crazy. Jaime was wearing a similar outfit to mine, but hers was a lime green color. We went to the food court after putting what we had in out in the car. We were arm in arm and made our way to get coffee and something to eat from Starbucks, since they didn’t have a dunkin donuts here. I’m not familiar with Starbucks, so I went with some iced latte with a shot of espresso in it with whipped cream and a muffin. Jaime got the same as me and we sat down to enjoy our lunch so to speak.
Two guys pulled up on either side of us. One had short, dark blonde hair with hazel eyes. He had an oval shaped face, high cheek bone, plump lips, and thick eyebrows. He wore black jeans, and a blue tee shirt with a pair of DC’s on.
The other guy had light brown hair that was short and a pair of chocolate brown eyes. He also had thick eyebrows, round cheeks, red lips, thick eyelashes, and overall round face. He wore blue jeans and black t-shirt.
“Hey, sexy lady’s,” the blonde said. I internally rolled my eyes.
“Not like we haven’t heard that line right?” I thought to Jaime.
“That’s true,” she chuckled back.
We just ignored them and continued to enjoy the silence.
“Oh come on ladies we are giving you the privilege of going on a date with us,” he winked at me. I shivered in disgust.
“I’m sorry, but I’m not interested. I’ve got a boyfriend,” I lied.
“I’m not interested either. Got a boyfriend as well,” She lied.
“Then where are they? I don’t see them anywhere,” The blonde said.
“If they truly were dating you then they shouldn’t leave their beautiful ladies by themselves,” The other guy said.
“I know I wouldn’t leave my girlfriends to walk around by themselves.”
“Well, we can take care of ourselves,” Jaime said.
“Yeah, so they don’t have to worry about us,” I said.
“I think we should go, got some more shopping to do and then we gotta get ready for our dates,” Jaime lied. She can lie better than me. We both stood up and went to leave, but the men grabbed our right wrists. The blonde had Jaime and the brown haired guy had my wrist. Within seconds Jaime and I had twisted our wrists free and were holding their arms behind their back.
“See? Told you we could take care of ourselves,” I growled. “Touch me again and you may lose that hand,” I threatened. The moment we let them go they ran away.
We went back to our shopping spree and then in one of the stores I came across a white summer dress. It went to my knees and had a cover of a thin, see through fabric. Underneath had a white stretchy cotton material. It had built in padding with pinched up fabric in between. The sleeves are just that thin, white, see through fabric.
I picked it up and ran to Jaime. I grabbed her arm and dragged her with me to the dressing room. She had clothes in her arms and I went into one stall to try on the dress asap. When I looked in the mirror I didn’t realize I was smiling. The dress actually clung to my midsection and hung loosely to my knees. The dress was perfect. I left the stall to see Jamie in a cute pair of jeans and floral top.
“What do you think?” I asked her and she turned towards me. Her jaw dropped.
“Wow, that is perfect. He will not be able to take his eyes off of you,” she said confidently.
“Yeah, now I need a nice pair of shoes to go with this dress,” I said.
“Yes,” I changed back and continued to shop and then we went over to the shoes. We were both looking for the perfect set of shoes to go with my dress. My sister came around with a pair of white kitten heels. They were perfect. I got them. It was late so we grabbed a quick dinner on the way back home.
When we got home we were pulling bags upon bags of our new clothes. David and Daniel had wide eyes on how many bags we had. David helped Jaime with her bags and Daniel helped me with mine.
After that I put everything away and took out clothes I don’t wear anymore. I bagged it up and would soon bring it to the Salvation Army to donate my clothes to. I did that with all my teenage clothes that didn’t have any stains or rips in them.
Tomorrow is David’s day so I went straight to bed and slept like a baby. I had a good day with David and it is now Jeremy’s day. He said we weren’t leaving until noon, so I got up around nine. Jaime came in as I was taking a shower and shaving myself. I wrapped myself in my purple bathrobe and walked out. I sat in the chair as Jaime took the towel off my head. She started brushing and blow drying my hair. Then she pulled my hair back into a ponytail. She had me put on the dress and shoes and I sat back down. She started with my makeup.
She didn’t need to use any foundation and concealer because my skin was clear of any blemishes. She just put on my usual makeup, but with the eyeliner she created a cat eye. Then she added some pale pink lipstick and added lip gloss over my lips.
Then she took my hair down and put it halfway up leaving some bangs down and swiping to the right and behind my ear. She then curled my hair halfway up. Once done she sprayed my hair with a massive amount of hair spray. I stopped breathing and closed my eyes.
I got up and looked in my body mirror. I could not believe that was me. The whole look came together and I didn’t realize I looked good.
I took a breath and left my room. I walked down the stairs not meeting anyone. I slowly made my way down the last of the steps and turned to find Jeremy standing by the door. He was looking at the floor. He was wearing a pair of black slacks, and a white button up, dress shirt. He rolled his sleeves to his elbows. He wore black loafers. His hair was styled with a tiny ponytail with half his hair up. He had grown his hair to his shoulders and come to find out his hair was curly.
I walked until my shoes were seen. He slowly looked up drinking in my entire being as his eyes moved up. He emerald green eyes glistened like shining jewels as he took in the dress. He gave me a half smile and my heart leapt at the sight. It was sexy.
“Shall we?” He asked, holding out his hand toward me.
“Yes,” I said, taking his hand with mine. He helped me into the car and then jumped in, started the car and we drove away. I tried to get him to tell me where we were going. We went to a couple of towns and came to like a mini city. We drove up to what was a dance studio. He got out and went to my side and helped me out.
He led me into the building and pulled me into a big room with all wooden floors. There were windows on two of the walls and there was a piano against one of the walls. A lady in a black top and leggings and a pair of black pumps. She had a buzzcut and her dark skin shone in the chandelier light. There were more people there.
That's when I knew. I cursed in my mind. He took me to a dance class. I said to Jaime. All I got back was laughter and good luck. She’s no help. I cannot dance. Trust me when I say that.
The teacher began her little speech and then we separated and stood in front of our partners. I had no idea what I was doing, but he moved his right arm, shoving it right under my left arm, raising mine up and making me grab his chiseled bicep. Then he my hand where my fingers curled the side of his hand. My thumb on the other side of his.
The music started and it came from a stereo. He pulled me forward and I followed suit.
After multiple times of stepping on his feet and a bunch of mess ups I was finally dancing with him properly. Our chest was touching and the rest of our bodies were close. He was so warm and this was kind of fun. We were almost gliding around the floor. He twirled me around a couple of times, dipped me and spun me out and then brought me back with my back to his front.
I guess I find that dancing is fun. I lived my whole life not dancing at all, but now I like it and feel that I missed out on it. Apparently the teacher knew Jeremy and he had saved her life and she promised him that he could have free lessons. We stayed during a couple of her hour classes and enjoyed dancing until our feet started to hurt. It was the end of her last class, so we left and then he took me to a restaurant where we had dinner.
It was a little dimmer and the ambiance was nice. We were led to a booth at the back of the restaurant. We chatted for a while and when the food came we ate in silence enjoying it because we hadn’t eaten yet. By the time we got back home it was about nine at night.
He walked me up to my room door. He turned me to face him,.his arms wrapped around my waist. He stared into my eyes.
“I had a good time,” he said.
“Me too,” I said with a genuine smile.
Before I could think his head dipped and I closed my eyes feeling his soft lips brushed mine. He kissed me softly and there was no tongue. It was warm, but I didn’t feel that spark you know? But It was still a nice kiss. After the kiss he stared into my eyes and then he said goodnight. He left me and I went into my room. I cleaned off the makeup and took out my hair. I changed into some shorts and a tank top. I laid in bed looking at the ceiling. It was a good day, but I knew he wasn’t the one for me. I fell asleep dreaming of dancing with a man. His face blurred but I felt free.
